ANNUAL REPORT OF PACE SETTING ACTIVITY W.E.F. 01.04.2013 TO 31.03.2014

Various programmes have been conducted under Pace setting activity during the session (2013-14):

21.10.2013: A Pace Setting Activity was held in the nearby village Temple, Gurudwara and many more places on Communal Welfare, Environment cleanliness and promotion of social welfare duties among the common people and the students.

16.11.2013: On the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Birthday Shabad Gayan Programme was held in the nearby Gurudwara and the students have offered their services there.

22.11.2013: Under Communal harmony Week community songs were presented in the nearby schools and villages with the help of musical instruments to promote Communal Harmony among the general people and the students. It was presented in Govt. Middle School Maseetan, Govt. Elementary School Kalewal and Maseetan and Anganwari School Maseetan, total participants were 40 with Scout & Guides.

07.12.2013: Vidyalaya Level cleaning Programme was organized and play grounds, subject beds, Mess and hostel surrounding were cleaned by a group of 10 students of class 9th with scouts.

15.01.2014: Coaching for JNVST-2014: It was organized in Govt. Elementary School Maseetan by Mr. Alok Kumar Goswami, Lib. And Mr. Shinder Pal, TGT Punjabi for those students who filled the form for JNVST-2014. It continued up to 22.01.2014.

26.01.2014: Stage Decoration Programme was done by 06 students along with Ms. Rajwant Kaur, Staff Nurse on Republic Day celebration in Sultanpur Lodhi (Division Level). They were awarded appreciation and certificate by S.D.M Sultanpur Lodhi for their sincere work.

ANNUAL REPORT OF CCA W.E.F 01.04.2013 TO 31.03.2014

Various programmes have been conducted under CCA during the session 2013-2014. Descriptions of the programmes are as follows:-

1. Akhand Path on 11.04.2013 in M.P Hall at 09:00 AM and Bhog Ceremony on 13.04.2013 at 12:00 PM.

2. Celebration of Baisakhi: In which student’s parents were invited and Ardas was done in the M.P.Hall for better health, prosperity and good education for all students. It was held on 13.04.2013.

3. Fancy dress Competition: On 29.04.2013 in M.P.Hall two students from each house have participated in this competition.

4. Independence Day Celebration: On 15th August, Independence Day was celebrated in the vidyalaya campus. Cultural programmes by the students like patriotic song was present by VII class students. NCC troops have secured Ist position in district level participation in Kapurthala.

5. Rakhi Celebration (Raksha Bandhan): On 20.08.2013 after 5th period in M.P.Hall. Ms. Bindu Bala has collected the Rakhies prepared by the students.

6. Krishna Janamastami: On 28.08.2013 at 05:00 PM to 06:00 PM in M.P.Hall. Music teacher of the vidyalaya alongwith a group of students have present a ‘Bhajan’ to celebrate the occasion.

7. Teacher’s Day Celebration: On 05th September 2013, Morning Assembly was conducted by the Teachers followed by a cultural evening that day.

8. Celebration of Birth Anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad as National education Day: Various programmes were held to celebrate the occasion on 11.11.2013 like:

iii) Debate: IX to XII 12

iv) Elocution: IX to XII 08

v) Open session: VI to VIII 12

9. Celebration of Children’s Day 14th Nov. 2013 at 10:30 AM. Cultural programme like Skit, Dance, Speech and Talent Hunt for VI and VII classes were organized in the Basket ball ground. On that day Painting Competition based on Pandit Nehru was also organized.

10. Celebration of Guru Nanak’s Birthday: On 16.11.2013 at 3:30 PM in M.P Hall Shabad Gayan Competition was held on that day:

i) First position by Nilgiri Girls = 22.5/24

ii) Second position by Holding Girls = 22/24

iii) Third position by Shivalik Girls = 20/24

11. Communal Harmony Week (19th Nov. to 25th Nov. 2013): Programmes started on 19th Nov. at 03:30 PM in the assembly ground sung by Taranpreet Kaur of class VI A: Now programmes at a glance:-

13. Class decoration Competition on 02.12.2013 at 11:00 AM:

Ist position in Senior sction XII Sci. - 105/120

14. Alumni Meet was celebrated on 08.12.2013 in basket ball ground at 11:30 AM.

15. European Union Essay Competition 2013 – It was held on various topics on 05.12.2013 in M.P.Hall.

16. Special Demonstration on Safety & Security by Mr. Sukhdeep Raj as per the order of Mr. M.S.Khanna, Joint Commissioner N.V.S.

17. Staff - Students Cricket Match was held on 21.12.2013 at 03:00 PM and winner was staff.

18. Celebration of Republic Day (26.01.2013): Vidyalaya choire group and N.C.C group have attended the division and District level programmes. A cultural programme was also organized in M.P.Hall after March Past and Flag Hosting.

19. Maha Shiva Ratri (27.02.2014): Maha Shiva Ratri celebration was held in M.P Hall. Vidyalaya students have presented Shiv Bhajan, Reflection and Skit. Music teacher have also presented a Shiv Bhajan.

GAMES AND SPORTS ANNUAL REPORT 2013-14

The following tasks have been accomplished in the session of 2013-14:

1. Inter House competitions were conducted in various disciplines, smoothly.

2. Organized CLUSTER LEVEL HANDBALL competition for both BOYS &

GIRLS.

3. Stood winner in CLUSTER LEVEL HANDBALL COMPITIONS in both

BOYS & GIRLS (U 19, U 17 and U 14 age category).

4. 76 students of our vidyalaya were selected for REGIONAL LEVEL GAMES

AND SPORTS meet.

5. 41 students of our vidyalaya represented CHANDIGARH REGION in NVS

NATIONAL SPORTS MEET in different disciplines.

6. 03 students of HANDBALL team of this vidyalaya represented NVS in

SGFI (SCHOOL GAMES FEDERATION OF INDIA).

7. Fun games were successfully conducted on CHILDREN’S DAY

celebration, followed by a motivational STUDENTS V/S TEACHER’S

CRICKET MATCH.

8. Friendly matches between STUDENTS AND TEACHERS were organized

frequently and on the occasion of TEACHER’S DAY.

9. Battery test for the GENERAL FITNESS of the students were conducted

for the classes 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th respectively.

10 Senior students of 10th, 11th and 12th class were taught marking the

Grounds of VOLLEYBALL, FOOTBALL, HANDBALL & KHO-KHO.

Performance of the NCC JD (BOYS) CADETS in the year 2013-14:

1. Our vidyalaya have allotted one TROOP of 100 cadets and were attached to 21 Pb Bn NCC Kapurthala.

2. Our Cadets attended the ATC, CATC & TSC camps held at Sainik School Kapurthala, Dogra Camp Site Jalandhar & NCC Academy ROPAR (Pb.).

3. Our cadets outshined in various disciplines in CATC camps:

B. Winner in Volley-Ball Match

C. 1st in Skit

D. 2nd in Obstacle race

E. 2nd in Line Area Layout

F. 3rd in Squad Drill

4. At school level we have celebrated 26th January (REPUBLIC DAY) and 15th August (INDEPENDENCE DAY), with great pomp and show.

5. Cadets also take part in the Independence day pared at (tehsil level) Sultanpur Lodhi.

6. Cadets also take part in REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION (DISTRICT LEVEL) at GURU NANAK STADIUM, KAPURTHALA.

7. Our 2 Cadets participated in FIRING COMPETITION held at PAP KAPURTHALA.

2. The GIRL Cadets of our vidyalaya attended the CATC ,BLC & TSC camps held at NCC Academy ROPAR (PUNJAB).

3. Cadets were OVERALL CHAMPIONS in the JW(JUNIOR WING) in CATC held at Ropar w.e.f 28th December 2012 to 6th January 2013.

4. Our vidyalaya girls outshined in various disciplines in CATC camp:

8. 3 girls (JASHANPREET KAUR, RAMANJIT KAUR & PARNEET KAUR) of JW category participated in FIRING COMPETITION held at PAP KAPURTHALA.

ALUMNI REPORT

Alumni meet was organized in the vidyalaya (Basket Ball Ground) on dated 08/12/2013. A vary chalk out programme was unfolded by the organizers. To open the program, lamp was lighted by the Principal. She welcomes & addresses the alumni to be present in the vidyalaya campus. Discussion was made about the betterment of the vidyalaya with the help of alumni those who are in the various fields.

A very positive feedback was given by the alumni members present over there. Like vidyalaya should have more & more representation in co-curricular activities for the all round development of students at the same time stress should be mainly on academics for the quantitative and qualitative result. They also appreciate the way of information which was provided by the net of alumni meet.

In between cultural programme was presented by the vidyalaya students in a very colour full manner. Alumni also took part in various programmes to motivate the students and show their pleasure.

Vote of thanks was given by the Vice-Principal and a sign of gratitude was shown by the in charge.

Alumni were invited for delicious lunch with the staff. In the evening a friendly Volley-Ball match was organized between staff and Alumni.
