• You will be working in small tutor-led groups comprising

rhythm section plus frontline (exception - the BIG BAND!!)

• With the help of our inspiring players and teachers you will

be exploring some of the great tunes of the jazz repertoire

• Come for as few or as many days as you like

• Here’s the plan: listen and learn with our ear-opening and

eye-bending playlists, reinforce with the tunesheets we will

send you in advance, and finally…put it all together on your

chosen course days!

2019-20 Next season we will be running the same range of workshop events and regular ensembles for all instruments and playing levels; we are also very pleased to be bringing back the very successful Guitar Improvers Ensemble - for guitarists wanting to make the leap over from other styles (rock, blues, classical etc) into jazz.

We start putting the ensembles together in April/May, and if any of you (prospective and current members) would like to register your interest for the 2019-20 season, please do so using the form on the Jazz School UK website.

For players wanting more intensive and personalised programmes of study we also (in conjunction with Verge) offer courses of individual lessons, the 2 year Pathway, and now (an exciting new addition) the 1 year Foundation Jazz Course - an introduction to the

essential skills and knowledge needed for small group jazz playing. More details of these courses on the Verge and Jazz School UK websites.
