Travel Information and Homestay

The Travel Information Form must be completed and sent to [email protected] until 12th of January.

If you are arriving one day before or leaving one day later and you need a place to stay we will be happy to find you a homestay. (In that case it would be lovely if you could tell us before so we can organize everything for you in advance).

JBers that want to enjoy the city of Rio de Janeiro a little bit more and are arri-ving before the 24th or leaving after 2nd of February, we encourage you to stay in a hostel - the host families of Chapter Rio are really kind but if you are staying to hang out in the city we believe there are other options available. If you want any help to find a good hostel, let us know.

Food restrictions, allergies, other observationsPlease if you have any allergy, food restriction or any other observation and ha-ven’t let us know yet, please send it with your Travel Information form.

Theme

The main theme approached to the Content Educational Area at JB Sulr 2014 was “Minorities” - focusing in a especif topic related to Diversity.

In 2015, we want to keep the discussion with the theme “Social Movements”, following what was approached last year, now relating to the Conflict and Reso-lution area (the theme of the year for CISV).

What are “social movements”? What are their importance in our society? How do they impact your country? How the social movements are like in Brazil, Ar-gentina and Chile? What are their differences? And similarities?

These are some points we would like to discuss at JB Sulr 2015. We hope to explore the theme in the best way we can, so we count on you! The participants at JB Sulr will plan in groups the activities and sessions of our workshop with the help of the Content Staff. We hope that you start to do some research about the theme e bring not only ideas but also resources that might help du-ring the planning time. Researches, articles, news, magazines, newspapers, books, videos, movies, music… Anything you believe that can contribute to the development of the theme.
