• JACKSON COUNTY AMATEUR RADIO EMERGENCY SERVICE IS:

A Group of Licensed Amateur Radio Operators Trained in Emergency Communications, Reporting to the County Emergency Manager and Authorized by the Oregon Office of Emergency Management *.

• FUNCTION:

To Provide Back-Up Emergency Communications When Normal Communications Have Failed or Are Overloaded.

* Complete Criminal Background Investigation.
