Responsibilities Responsible for daily database maintenance, SQL development work for reporting, optimization of table structures and database performance. Needs to provide architectural recommendations and best practices based on research in terms of MySQL databases and global replication. Database: Focused in the Database Administration and SQL development activities of MySQL 5 database. Should have extensive hands-on experience in huge data migrations and data synchronization between databases. Support: Support and maintenance of the existing database infrastructure. Standby: Standby, on-call and support of MySQL databases. Architecture: Architecture and design recommendations and implementations, in terms of future expansion. Documentation: Author documents as required. Mentoring: Mentor and coach the Engineering team through their knowledge growth and domain knowledge cycles. Mentoring also takes place by means of peer reviews and recommendations on the SQL structures used in code.
