Our leaders are describing the next few weeks as a critical period. Stay at home. Go out only for the essentials. Let us all do our part so that we can protect our neighbors and return to a sense of normalcy as quickly as possible. Today, our school district officially opens back up for business. This will not be traditional learning, but we are committed to continuing our students’ education. This past Friday parents should have gotten a communication with plans regarding the remainder of the school year. All of those instructions will remain on our website and we have placed links in this newsletter. Teachers should also be reaching out to parents and students with more information. If you have any questions about how a grade will be determined, or distance learning, I encourage you to ask. We have also posted specific information for our seniors regarding everything from grades to graduation. Seniors will also be receiving this information in the mail. I would like to say “Thank You” to each of you. I know this has been a time of anxiety and I sincerely appreciate your patience. My dedicated staff and I needed to iron out plans, before we communicated them to the public. We wanted to ensure accurate information was delivered to our teachers, parents, and students in hopes of avoiding confusion. While we have been forced to discontinue our in-house feeding program because of health and safety concerns, we are close to finalizing a contract with a third party vendor to continue food distribution. That organization is better equipped to handle the demands and manage the safety concerns of this unprecedented time. Expect to receive more information about this no later than Tuesday. Finally, I would like to remind everyone that we are a family. And when times get tough, families have each other’s back. Now is the time to stand united. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dear JEFCOED Family,

I hope you all are healthy and are navigating through these difficult times.

We don’t know what tomorrow will bring but, we know we will get through this, together. Let’s finish this school year #JEFCOEDStrong!

Sincerely,
