] Background fabric - 3 yards (42 - solid JR strips)

] 1 Jelly Roll or 32 strips - 2 ½” x 42”

] Binding - 3/4 yard (or use the 8 left over strips from the JR)

] Backing - 4 ½” yards

] Batting - 78” x 78”

Requirements

Finished block size 12” x 12”Finished quilt size 72” x 72”

CuttingFrom the background fabric cut:

� 42 strips - 2 ½” x width of fabric. Cut into -

� 144 rectangles - 2 ½” x 6 ½” (B)

� 288 squares - 2 ½” x 2 ½” (A)From each of 32 Jelly Roll strips cut:

� 9 rectangles - 2 ½” x 4 ½” (C). Cut 288 in total.

Block Assembly

1. Sew a 2 ½” x 2 ½” square (A) to a 2 ½” x 4 ½” rectangle (C). Press seams open.

2. Make 288 - A/C units.3. Sew an A/C unit to both sides of a 2 ½” x 6 ½: rectangle (C).4. Make 144 blocks measuring 6½” x 6 ½”

1. Select 4 blocks.2. Lay out the units as shown in diagram1 - Block Assembly.3. Press seams open.4. Make 36 blocks in total.

1. Lay out the blocks in rows of 6 blocks by 6 blocks.

2. Sew blocks together to make a row.3. Sew the rows together.4. Cut 8 binding strips 2 ½” x width of

fabric and join.5. Bind, quilt and label your Jelly Roll
