MSM Block Hire was asked to supply The Shard, a London hotel in Southwark, London with Jersey concrete safety barriers.

unique modern appearance by hiring bespoke blocks from MSM Hire Ltd.
The installation - prompted by a terrorist attack in June that left fi ve dead and nearly 50 injured when a van mowed down victims on the bridge - is complemented by the team at MSM Hire’s intuitive thinking to provide & install bespoke personalised/ Bespoke concrete safety barriers painted black so as not to over power the ultra modern surroundings of The Shard designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano.
By painting the concrete safety barriers black they are infused within the hotel’s surrounds but don’t scare or obstruct the buildings designs, but still keeping the staff and guests safe.
The use of concrete blocks shows that The Shard have incorporated eff ective anti-terrorist features which off er public reassurance.
