I have a background in graphic design and fine art. The brainstorming process involves an abundance of sketches and, from these humble beginnings, the end design is born.
I have designed book covers, CD & DVD covers, event fliers, business logos, Powerpoint presentations, and finding aides for libraries like The Poetry House. These experiences have strengthened my ability to design information in a clear and effective manner.

Challenges This site was truncatedby an abundance of info that was not logically conveyedand the company was still de-bating what their mission en-compassed.
Actions: Working in a team of three people, we decided to begin with persona creation in order to developa better understanding of the types of users that this website would benefit as the company itselfcould not explicitly articulate who they were tryingto reach. Afterwards, I personally conducted a content inventory and SWOT analysis to highlight areas that were redundant, outdated and trivial (ROT). From there, we conducted a competitiveanalysis to see how their closest competitors were conveying information. Lastly, we developed a template design for their wireframes that simplified the layout in order to clearly expedite information to the user. I developed other unique wireframes for pages that needed additional information like the forum, member profile, and blog.
