Directions Creating Pins: To add beads to the safety pins, hold one opened safety pin with the point facing away and up. Add beads as shown in the table at the bottom. Begin putting beads on the pin, starting with the beads listed on the bottom and working your way to the head of the pin. #JF541—14” Large Beaded Snowman Step 1: Cut your wire into 2—4”, 1—6”, 2—7”, 2—10”, 2—19”, 2—20”, 1—24” and 1—48” pieces.

Row 1. Star ting at the bottom of the snowman. Using a 10" piece of wire, * thread wire through the head of 1– A” Pin, add 1—10mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Repeat from * until 16- “A” Pins and 16—10mm Faceted Beads (Crystal) have been used. Pull wire tight. Twist and cut off excess wire. Row 2. Using a 24" piece of wire, * thread wire through the bottom loop of 1- "A" Pin from the previous row, add 1 - 10mm Faceted Bead (Crystal).

Then thread wire through the bottom loop of 1- "A" Pin (loose), add 1 - 10mm Faceted Bead. Repeat from * until 16- "A" Pins (loose) and 32 - 10mm Faceted Beads (Crystal) have been used. Pull wire tight. Twist and cut off excess wire. Row 3. Using a 19" piece of wire, * thread wire through the head of 1 - "A" Pin (from previous row), add 1—8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through head of 1 - "B" Pin, add 1—8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Repeat from * until 16 - "B" Pins and 32—8mm Faceted Beads (Crystal) have been used. Pull wire tight. Twist and cut off excess wire. Row 4: Using a 20” piece of wire, * thread wire through the bottom loop of 1- “B” Pin from the previous row, add 1—10mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the bottom loop of 1- “B” Pin (loose), add 1—10mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Repeat from * until 16- “B” Pins (loose) and 32—10mm Faceted Beads (Crystal) have been used. Pull wire tight. Twist and cut off excess wire. Row 5. Using a 19" piece of wire, * thread wire through the head of 1 - "B" Pin (from previous row), add 1—6mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the head of 1 - "C" Pin, add 1—6mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Repeat from * until 11 - "C" Pins and 22—6mm Faceted Beads have been used. Then thread wire through the head of 1- “B” Pin from the previous row, add 1—6mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the head of 1 "E" Pin, add 1—6mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the head of 1- “B” Pin from the previous row, add 1—6mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the head of 1 - "F" Pin, add 1—6mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). #JF541—14” Large Beaded Snowman Row 6. Using a 20" piece of wire, thread wire through the bottom loop of the fir st " E" Pin from the previous row. Please Note: this will be the first black pin on the right side of the face. Do bead work from right to left. Add 1 - 8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the bottom loop of 1 - "D" Pin, add 1 - 8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the bottom loop of 1- "F" Pin from the previous row, add 1 - 8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the bottom loop of 1 -"C" Pin (loose), add 1 - 8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the bottom loop of 1 - "G" Pin from the previous row, add 1 - 8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the bottom loop of 1 - "C" Pin (loose), add 1 - 8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the bottom loop of 1 - "F" Pin from the previous row, add 1 - 8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the bottom loop of 1 - "D" Pin, add 1 - 8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the bottom loop of 1 - "E" Pin from the previous row, add 1 - 8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then * thread wire through the bottom loop of 1 - "C" Pin (loose), add 1 - 8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Then thread wire through the bottom loop of 1 - "C" Pin from the previous row, add 1 - 8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Repeat from * until all remaining pins and 32—8mm Faceted Beads (Crystal) have been used. Pull wire tight. Twist and cut off excess wire. Row 7. Using a 10" piece of wire, * thread wire through head of any Pin from the previous row, add 1 - 8mm Faceted Bead (Crystal). Repeat from * until 16 - 8mm Faceted Beads have been used. Pull wire tight. Twist and cut off excess wire. To Make Carrot Nose: Using a 6” piece of wire, bend one end into a small loop. Add 1—4mm Faceted Bead (Opaque Orange). Bend wire again slightly, forming a small spiral. Add 1—6mm Faceted Bead (Opaque Orange). Bend wire again slightly, forming a small spiral. Add 1—8mm Faceted Bead (Opaque Orange). Bend wire again slightly forming a small spiral. Add 1—10mm Faceted Bead (Opaque Orange). Bend wire again slightly forming a small spiral. Add 1—12mm Faceted Bead (Opaque Orange). Bend wire again slightly forming a small spiral. Attach to snowman centered between eyes and mouth by twisting wire to the wire used in row 6. Secure and cut off excess wire. To Make Scarf: Using a 48” piece of wire, bend one end into a small loop. Add 150—8mm Faceted Beads (Christmas Red). Bend other end of wire into a small loop. Wrap around neck of snowman several times and arrange ends as scarf would be worn. To Make Arms: Step 1: Using a 7” piece of wire, bend one end into a small loop. Add 14—8mm Faceted Beads (Jet Black). Make another small loop in wire to secure beads, leaving a short tail. Step 2: Using a 4” piece of wire, bend one end into a small loop. Add 4—8mm Faceted Beads (Jet Black). Attach to first wire between the 4th and 5th bead by twisting around at center of shorter end of wire. Add 4—8mm Faceted Beads (Jet Black), make another small loop in wire to secure beads. Using remaining end of wire from step 1, attach to snowman body to the wire used for row 4 (wherever desired). Repeat again for other arm. A small dab to glue may be applied to secure arm position.
