  3. 3. 2/3 DISA Juniper MX960 Verification Testing for Provider Edge (PE) and Carrier Supporting Carrier (CsC) capability: Primary provider of MX960 hardware/chassis testing Co-engineer (three person team) responsible for testing MX960 capabilities as a PE and CsC device for introduction to the DISN: this includes ISIS, BGP-v4, MP-BGP, and MPLS (Layer 3 VPN and CsC) functionality. PE and CsC testing requires baseline IP, interface, ISIS, BGP, and policy configuration, as well as MP-BGP and MPLS configuration for Layer 3 VPN capability on numerous Juniper devices including the MX960 (DUT, Device Under Testing), two T640s acting as P (Provider Core) routers, three M7i routers acting as P and PE routers, and an M320 carved up into six logical routers providing emulation of the customer network which also acts as its own Service Provider network.. Utilizing IXIA Traffic Generator for customer traffic/VPN emulation. Providing complete report and documentation of MX960 testing along with one other engineer. DISA Tactical Edge STEP Program Tech-refresh Testing, Primary IP Test Engineer: Responsible for STEP Tech Refresh test verification: IP design review/assistance, primary IP addressing over-site, primary configuration, testing and verification of updated tactical edge access-network [updated network features included Cisco 7613 VRF (Virtual Route Forwarding) Lite capability in order to collapse multiple router functions into one chassis; High Availability functionality introduced on router; firewall High Availability design support, introduction of Cisco 3750 switches for High Availability, HSRP, and monitoring/mirroring capability; introduction of improved BGP routing and policy; introduction of improved/contiguous IP addressing scheme; improved Cisco 3825 router configuration for satellite connected serial customers], provided complete documentation support including Test Report, and Implementation Guides. For baselining, provided ground up build out of the testbed representing two STEP (Standard Tactical Entry Point) / Tactical Edge sites including tactical edge routers, TCP accelerators, CSUs, management devices, upstream PE (Provider Edge) configuration, and BGP between sites and core. Executed testbed connectivity for the Cisco 7613 Tactical Edge Access Router to the lab "DISN Core" via Juniper Provider Edge Router (T640 chassis), including Juniper JUNOS BGP, IP, and limited policy and group configurations. Provided verification and testing of tactical edge IPv6 capability including IPv6 addressing scheme support and complete IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack configuration and functionality testing of the above listed updated network features.
