• GQ frame pilot program tested one approach to updating GQ list

Preliminary FSCPE Results (4)• Summary of accepted FSCPE records:
• 78 were new addresses for the MAF• Almost half of these were college quarters
• 731 were address conversions• Most were emergency shelters, juvenile institutions,
nursing homes
• 3 added some new data to existing MAF GQ record
• Summary of rejected FSCPE records:• All 15 were currently on MAF as GQ• No new data added to existing MAF record

Evaluating the FSCPE Results
• FSCPE records had high rate of new addresses good “bang for the buck”
• Low MAF rejection rate = high quality data
• Census ad hoc GQ follow up confirmed high FSCPE quality
• FSCPE verification confirmed high quality

Conclusions of the Pilot Program
• Implement the pilot program nationally
• Get your help to update the census GQ frame in advance of 2010 Census
• Acquire FSCPE data and meet 2010 Census requirements

High-Level Requirements for Implementation in 2010 Census (1)
• Census field staff must be able to physically locate the GQ– GQ name is required– GQ address is required
• City-style: e.g., house number, street name, city, state, ZIP
• Non-city-style: e.g., rural route, box number, city, state, ZIP
