Director, International Projects 1999-2000Responsible for managing Eastman’s capital investments and overall capital budget in Asia Pacific and Europe including projects involving proprietary technology for Eastman’s Olefins and Polyester streams. Highlights included the safe, on-time and within budget investments for Oxo aldehydes and derivatives in Singapore, tackifying resins JV in China, CGMP pharmaceutical intermediates in Hong Kong, copolyesters in Malaysia, PET and PTA in The Netherlands, and fiber production in the United Kingdom.

Project and Engineering Manager 1985-1999Successfully led cross-functional teams in delivering multiple projects involving proprietary technology for Eastman’s Acetyl stream in North America. Highlights include investments in cellulose acetate JV and Chemicals from Coal Expansion in Kingsport, TN.

Jim and his wife Donna reside in Jonesbough, TN. They have two daughters, Katherine and Rebecca. Jim serves as a volunteer with the Haven of Mercy, Good Samaritan and annually leads construction missions to Mexico and

Guatemala. Jim’s personal interests include golf and his granddaughters, Lily and Maggie.
