SERVE Weekend (formerly known as Youth & Mission Retreat) is a weekend of giving, loving, and serving the capitol city! A hands-on opportunity for the youth to participate in missions locally.

SERVE WEEKEND is February 28 & 29, 2020

We will “Kickoff” the weekend with a Friday night service at 6:30 p.m. at the Charleston Southeast Church. There will be exciting worship, a message from our District NYI Leader Mark Ice, along with assignments for Saturday. We will finish out the evening with a Pizza Party! On Saturday Morning at 9:00 a.m., we will gather at the Southeast Church to be commissioned as Missionaries to go out and serve in various locations throughout the Kanawha Valley. We will return to the Charleston Southeast Church at 11:45 a.m. to report about our projects and to celebrate! Lunch will be served after the service! The cost is $30 per person (this includes meals, t-shirts, insurance, supplies, etc.). Registration is due by Friday, February 14th. See Pastor Rob to register!

fellowship for all to enjoy following the service in the Family Life Center. We hope you can be a part of this exciting evening!

Wait for the voice mail, which will notify you if there are changes. If the message is “normal,” then service times are normal. Wednesday evenings will follow the Kanawha Co. Schools decisions.

Yes, it’s cold, but Easter is just around the corner for our Music & Drama Departments! If you would like to sing or be involved in the Easter Drama, please contact Marvin Taylor, Kent Cochran or Kelly McMinn. The Choir practices every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY GROUP meets at 8:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall every Wednesday morning! All men are welcome to join us! This a great time to meet with

friends, explore the Word and ask questions you may have! You are welcome to bring friends with you!

NEEDLES will meet Tuesday, February 18th, in the Encouragers Room at 10 a.m. Needles will meet again on March 3rd & 17th, at 10 a.m. WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER—Join us from 5:15-6:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The Church Board will be serving Swiss Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Corn, plus Dessert. Suggested donation is $6 per person, or $20 for a family of four or more.

A BAPTISM SERVICE will be held on February 23rd, during the Morning Worship Service. If you are interested in being baptized or would like to learn more about it, please contact Pastor Randy or the church office.

LERMA—February is ERNC’s volunteer month at LERMA. If you can help work the food pantry there on Tuesdays from 9 a.m.—Noon, please let the church office or Martha Krause know. Thank you for your help in our community!

JOY CLUB 55+ LUNCHEON will be on Tuesday, February 25th, at Noon in the Fellowship Hall. Our theme is: God’s Love in Us! Lasagna will be served. Please bring a side dish to share!

WV SOUTH NYI SERVE WEEKEND—February 28-29th. Cost is $30, and this event is open to all DV8 Teens! Please contact Pastor Rob if you’d like to attend!

MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST—All men are invited to join us at Cracker Barrel in Kanawha City for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 7th! Enjoy a nice, relaxed breakfast with Pastor Randy. We will have a special time of prayer together and great food! Bring a friend with you!

WINTERJAM—DV8 Teens interested in attending the concert will need $15 plus money for snacks/drinks for the concert this Friday, February 21st! The church van will leave at 4 p.m. and teens will text their parents for the return time.
