Jing ‘s Recommendations
Jing is a very intuitive program that would allow instructors to
develop instructional tutorials for use in the classroom, or to keep on file for students to review outside of the classroom.
With a couple in-service sessions, by a technical coordinator, most teachers would become familiar enough with it’s features, to attempt a short video.
While Jing’s five minute video limit is considered a con in my opinion, it might be the perfect tool to assist some instructors (like me), to develop the knack of keeping directions simple, or at least concise.

Snagit Recommendation
Snagit has an incredible and easy to use interface. The layout is similar
to many Microsoft Office applications, making it very comfortable to use, for those instructors that utilize Microsoft’s operating system and programs.
Requirements for computer specifications, RAM, internet connection speed, and available memory seem minimal compared to similar screen cast programs.
The free Snagit trial subscription offers exposure of a screen capture application to many faculty members that have limited access to similar programs. In addition, it is a fantastic tool to incorporate into a technical coordinators’ in-service agenda.
What a fun way to help teachers get on (Tech) board!
