Well, here we go...

Way down deep in the jungles of Africa, where it’s so hot it will never snow…

There’s a tough and plucky little pachyderm who doesn’t know the meaning of NO.

Jingles sits and daydreams of Santa Claus, of flying at the front of his sleigh--

Soaring through the sky like an albatross, leaving gifts before Xmas day...

Even though he’s five thousand pounds,

he won’t let that fact get him down…

Jingles doesn’t hear what they say--

he knows every dog has his day…

Suddenly someone is a-knocking,

Jingles’ mother opens the door--

About the Author

Erik Island attended the Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, OH for Illustration & Animation. During his sophomore & junior years he worked on

public service announcements against child abuse.

Erik later attended The Academy of Art in San Franciscofor Motion Picture & Video,

During which he spent ten adventurous years working on documentaries, music videos and independent films in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Erik did illustrations and designs for McGraw-Hill Publishing in their French, Spanish & German Language textbooks, for college and grammar school students,

from 1998-2003.

Erik continues to create art and collaborate with friends on multimedia projects, living in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois.
