A key that determines the origin, content, and other features of service, maintenance, and quality notifications.

This document describes the procedure for creating following Notification.

To create a Notification .(IW21) Notification: A key that determines the origin, content, and other features of service, maintenance, and quality notifications.

Input - Required Fields Field Value / Comments

Notification Type

Key that enables notifications to be differentiated and grouped according to notification category, notification origin and other criteria. The features of the notification are defined in Customizing for each notification type.

Work Center An organizational unit that represents a suitably equipped, physical location where work can be performed.

Breakdown (checkmark)

Indicator that informs you when a machine has broken down.

Refer to Business Process Procedure, Display a Work center.

1.1 Procedural Step Access the “Create Notification” transaction by:

On screen “Create Notification”: Initial Screen”, enter information in the fields as specified in the table below:

Function Location An organizational unit in Logistics that structures the maintenance objects of a

company according to functional, process-oriented, or spatial criteria. A functional location represents the place

at which a maintenance task is performed.

Equipment

An individual, physical object that is maintained as an autonomous unit.

Planner Group A group of employees responsible for planning and processing maintenance

tasks in a plant.

Breakdown(Indicator) Indicator that informs you when a machine has broken down.

Usage

Key to control in which type of task list you can use: operating resources (for

example, Work centers or Production Resources /tools).


Enter Usage.

Malfunct. start Date of day on which the malfunction started, or on which the problem occurred.

solved, or on which the malfunction ended.
