Columbus sees 12-month job growth across

all segments

Columbus

• Year-over-year, Columbus has experienced job growth across all business segments, providing a positive outlook for 2016.

Since 2010, there has been a steady increase in sectors such as education, health services, manufacturing, transportation,

financial activities, and mining, logging & construction. According to the most recent estimates from the BLS, the total

nonfarm employment in Columbus experienced an annualized increase of 20,600 jobs, or 2.0 percent, despite the

unemployment rate nearing the national average of 4.8 percent. This positive growth has poised the commercial real estate

market in Columbus for future growth, particularly in Franklinton which has been experiencing a surge in activity.
