    nominal aperture, taansmitter-receiver unit providing an output of 50 kW (X-band) or60 kW (S-band) and display unit having a cathode-ray tube of 12 or 16 in. diameter, com-bined wiih full-solid-state circuitry (excluding special electron tubes).

    The block diagrams for explanation of the cicuits are lhown irl Figures 2-l-l and \-i'

    A &agnetron oscillates in response to the transmission tdgger to provide a microwave,which is radiated faom the scanner unit. When the microwave ndiated outside from itsradiator strikes on any target, a reflected wave retums to the scanner unit, which transfersit to a mixer in the rcceiver via a circulator, The received sinal is amplified in the rcceive!and sent to the display unit as a video signal. The display unit presents the signal a! a brightecho on the cathode ray tube by means of CCD.

    The input power supplies are controlled by the POWER switch on the control paneland connected to voltage regrilato. type power supplies in the transmitter-receiver unit anddisplay unit.

    The power supply diag.am of the each radar type is shown in FIG. 2-2-1, FlG. 2-22and FIG. 2-2-3.

    2.2.2 Transmitter-Receiver Unit Power Supply

    The power transformer T20l in the tansmitter-receiver unit dist butes AC line inputinto two power voltages. The +90vac supply among them is supplied to the automaticvoltage rcgulator circuit (AVR), which provides a regulated supply voltage of 60V forthe transmitter-receive!.

    In addition, converter type pov/er supplies are provided for producing requfued DCsupply voltages for the modulator and rcceivefs. T'he DC power supply block diagram isshown in FIC. 2-2'4.
