Job Description – Digital Marketing Intern (Paid)
Reporting to: Marketing Manager
Location: Rochester
Hours: 9:00 - 17:00
The Company:
APC Technology Group PLC provides the design, specification and distribution of specialist electronic components and systems, lighting technologies and connectivity products that help our customers produce better equipment, improve efficiency and achieve superior performance. Due to ongoing growth we have a requirement for a marketing intern on a paid internship (June to August) with previous experience or knowledge in digital marketing, content writing and web page population.
Primary Purpose of Role:
Primarily the intern will be involved in delivering a European project involving several partner countries. Working alongside the marketing manager and creative agencies the brief involves creating a brand identity from scratch, developing marketing collateral and populating a website for go live at the end of August. This is a unique opportunity to work on a client-side project from start to finish.
In addition there will be ongoing work for APC including: web content population, social media and emarketing.
Main Responsibilities:
• Working alongside the marketing manager to project manage creation of logo, marketing collateral, document templates and website in relation to a specific research project
• Writing and editing content for web, email marketing and social media
• Selecting, manipulating and resizing images and graphics for website
• Using Adobe Indesign to update and create datasheets, case studies and product literature
• Creation of EDMs and surveys (Mailchimp, Survey Monkey)
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
§ Self-sufficient and proactive. Must be well organised, with a strong attention to detail
§ Wordpress CMS experience desirable
§ Excellent written and communication skills, ideally with previous experience in proofreading and writing content for web
§ Adobe Indesign skills desirable. MS Word and Powerpoint skills essential
§ Holding or studying a degree in marketing or digital marketing
