The selected candidate will be the driving force for Slow Cabins growth process, online/offline marketing & community building. Our Hero will be responsible amongst others for analyzing business/customer/UX data, setting up growth experiments, executing marketing and community efforts in order to increase impact and drive Slow Cabins yield and growth.

The selected candidate will take up a pivotal crossfunctional role by working closely with multiple Slow Cabins team members and partners (e.g. operations, engineering, IT developer, customer service, leadership team, etc.). He/she will provide strategic growth, community and marketing guidance to the Slow Cabins leadership management, coordinate experiments and drive change and splendid execution within the organization. He/she will work as a ‘tandem’ with the Slow Cabins IT developer and online designer, but will also closely cooperate with other departments like the engineering, customer service & experience, operations team of Slow Cabins. The candidate will drive continuous improvement, agility, lean management principles within the overall organisation, while focusing on the execution of marketing efforts and maximization of Slow Cabins business success.

The job vacancy is a fast-learning position with ample career perspectives within an ambitious and fast-growing start up with international market ambitions. To be the right fit, the candidate should be a data-oriented lean start up lover, a forward looking planner with a no nonsense mentality and nose for community building, a smily person with a good portion of humor, always hustling and eager to work with multiple teams and partners. He/she loves cabins, positive vibes and got excited from eco lifestyle or clean tech innovations.

Slow Cabins HQ is based in the vibrant city of Antwerp (Belgium), nearby the Dutch border. The location where you work from is less important; what matters is the output and impact you realize with your team members. Residence within the Benelux is though desired due to the current market focus.

The selected candidate loves to focus on analyzing data, coordinating growth hacks, testing and learning from experiments and his/her own and other failures. The candidate has proven work experience and a strong track record in creating and boosting communities and/or inbound marketing efforts. Preferably he/she should have a strong affinity with the eco lifestyle, hospitality & leisure or design business. Experience within a start up environment and in managing multidisciplinar teams is definitely a plus.

05 WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Create and boost relevant communities, execute referral marketing tactics, test and create -where possible- viral growth

• Copying and editing skills

• Basic knowledge of programming skills (not compulsory but recommended)

• Choose in accordance with the other departments which metrics/KPIs to focus on for effective marketing campaigns

• Bring traditional and creative ideas how to grow those KPIs

• Execute A/B tests to validate those ideas

• Analyze the data and users’ feedback

• Exchange ideas/data/feedback with other departments (production, IT developer, customer services, leadership team) in order to present results and make the product more user-centric

• Drive traffic to Slow Cabins website, landing pages, social media, apps…

• Understand conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles and hacks and being able to apply CRO tactics for Slow Cabins growth

• Work on a lean startup process

• Work with the AARRR Metrics Diagram (Acquisition – Activation – Retention – Referral - Revenue)

• Prioritize growth channels

• Optimize channels in order to always improve the performance of Slow Cabins business

• Scale and Automate the growth processes

• Bachelor or Master graduate

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in B2C environment and/or start up environment with focus on community building, channel management, UX design, user centric analytics or other relevant related fields

• Proven track-record of platform, channel and social community building

• Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mindset

• Straight-forward ‘eager to learn’ person with lots of stamina able to listen and filter opportunities into actions

• Strong enterpreneurial drive willing and able to take responsibility & focus on execution.

• Eager to work within agile and dynamic fast-growing environments through a proactive mindset : you spot obstacles but are able to translate them into solutions and opportunities.

• Good understanding of digital growth potentials for Slow Cabins brand positioning

• Proven and strong capabilities to deal and partner with multiple team members

• Proven and strong project management experience

• Hands-on “do-er” with focus on delivering results and prioritization

• Strong focus on continuoUs improvement and natural talent development

• Strong commercial and revenue management skills

• Fluency in Dutch and/or English. Other languages like French or German is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including editing and copywrite skills

• Willingness to occasionally travel
