In The Shelter of Thy Wings

This text is a prayer of the Greek Orthodox Church, used as lyrics in the choral piece “”In The Shelter of Thy Wings”

written by John Balamos and published by J. Fischer & Bro.

In the shelter of Thy wings I shall cover me and slumber. For Thou O Lord -- when I’m alone and unto hope, dost dwell in me Lord. Thou dost dwell in me, for Thou O Lord Into Thy hands O Lord do I lay my soul and my body. Be Thou merciful to me. Do Thou bless me and grant me the life everlasting. I shall slumber, I shall cover me and slumber, In the shelter of Thy wings. Amen.
