Introduction

The programme is broken down into 2 semesters of 10 lectures per semester

20 lectures in total:

10 in Human Resources management ( Feb – May)

10 in Business Management ( Sept – Dec)

FETAC Level 6 component certificate on completion of: 2 Assignments (50%)

SWOT and PEST analysis of an organisation HRM topic

Project (50%)To obtain the award both assignments and

the project must be submitted.

Assignment 1: Investigate and evaluate the internal

and external environment of an organisation

Evidence presented will include: An overview of the organisation to include

an organisational chart A SWOT analysis A PEST analysis

Assessment 2: Investigate and evaluate a topic

appropriate to human resources within an organisation:

Recruitment and selection or Staff development and training

Project: The project will focus on a broad range of

specific learning's outcomes and will require candidates to:

Compile a report on a management process within an organisation

Design, implement and document a system and or procedure to deal with a management issue:

Documentation flow Performance appraisal

Review and evaluate the process
