Here we see the Universal animation displayed at the start of the film. Showing this tells the viewer that it was made by a well-known company who have made other great films. The animation is of the world which relates to the name of the company but also, that the company is well known worldwide.

Here we see the Studio Canal animation displayed at the start of the film. Showing this also tells the viewer that it has had influence and was helped made by another well-known company who have made and helped make other great films. The animation is of clouds and blue sky which suggests what we are about to see is just like a dream.

Here we can see the animation for the producing company who are very well known for their films which show that this should be a good film to keep up with their high ratings.

This background is dark which puts all focus onto the text with both corporations on screen who have both made highly rated films. The text is shown in a metallic font which shows the strong and professional themes of the film.

Here we see the main character for the first time, Johnny English. The camera angle is looking up making him look more powerful. The lighting on his face is light on one side and dark on the other, English is looking towards the dark side which suggests he has come from the good and is targeting the dark.

This is an establishing shot to show that English is at a location of importance, also this building is very stereotypical of the old, yet grand english buildings owned by rich people who are associated with power and importance foreshadowing English’s ambitions.

Here we see English is dressed in stereotypical spy like clothing as he is dressed in black coloured clothes which are of a high quality which shows professionalism. His clothes allow him to be active yet discrete as he blends into the darkness of the set. The symmetry of the shot shows, again, the importance of this location through its grandness.

Here English is shown as a ‘boy scout’ as he is prepared and child like. This is irony because you wouldn’t expect a professional to act child like as dog toys are not a typical tool used by spies. The camera angle here is also looking up which shows he is in control of the situation where he is more dominant over the dogs.

Here we see a stereotypical scene from a spy film where English is decending into the building from above. The lighting is still dark suggesting the location is motionless and he is trying to fit in and be undescovered. The camera angle also remains high, looking up and giving the impression of confidence and power.

Here the text tells the viewer that the director is a well known person which shows the film should be well made. Again, the text has a metallic look which shows the strength of the film. The scene is symmentrical as well which again shows the weath and importance. The red curtains and grand staircase show the wealth of this building.

This is a stereotypical room from a wealthy house with the gold colour and fruit on the small table. However, the woman with the gun is counter typical as you would not expect a woman to have a gun.

Here English has woken and has realised it was all a dream and infact he is sat at his day job in a stereotypical office. The walls lined with files show that there is a lot of work and the way it is well organised shows the professionalism. English is dressed in a smart suit which is a more casual grey colour which shows he is at work in a formal place.

Here we see Agent One, instantly he looks of a higher authority than English because he is wearing a full three piece black suit as opposed to English’s brown two piece suit. The colour black is far more formal and professional than the more casual grey colour.

Here, another estabishing shot this time with establishing text too, this helps the viewer understand the context of the following scene. The text appears like a mission statement in a typewriter like way.

In this scene we se a Stereotypical explosion for this genre however in the most counter typical situation. This adds to the humour of the film and to emphasise the humour English says “It is the most secure place in England.” English is dressed in formal clothing which shows his importance and also the importance of this situation.

Here we see Number 10, the house of the Prime Minister. This shows that this situation is of great importance and is stereotypical of the genre to have a great security presence.

Here the counter typical scene where English isn’t performing in a professional manner. The text on the screen is in the british colours red white and blue. This shows that this film is about someone who works for the Queen because of these royal colours.

Here we see an expensive looking car which is stereotypical of a spy film the darkness of the lighting connotes the secrecy that they need to keep.

Here the red shows the bad as it connotes danger and as English moves towards it the danger disappears showing he gets the job done and everything is pure afterwards.
