It’s not just a job, it’s a starting point

We know youth get it. Just because you’re young, doesn’t mean you can’t be taken seriously. Getting interesting and challenging work experience is important for any student. That’s one of the reasons we created our Youth Get It Intern program. As a Youth Get It Intern you’ll:

• Work part-time in a branch as a Member Service Representative. You’ll go through some extensive training so you’re prepared to deal with members and handle financial transactions while being part of a branch team.

• Represent Coast Capital Savings at community events.

• In addition to your paid work, you’ll complete 25 volunteer hours focusing on a “for youth, by youth” approach to teaching financial literacy.

More than just money Our Youth Get It Intern program offers much more than just a typical part-time job. You’ll be gaining valuable skills that will get you ahead in life and in your career. You’ll meet and work with other enthusiastic students just like you. And of course, you’ll be paid for your time. How cool is that? Being a Youth Get It Intern requires you to be professional, trusted, friendly, and helpful to your team and our members. You’ll also gain skills which include:

• Leadership

• Community relations

• Teamwork

• Financial literacy

Build a great resume and have fun doing it

At the end of your year as a Coast Capital Savings Youth Get It Intern, you’ll have:

• Some money in your pocket

• Knowledge about the real world of banking

• Amazing, fun memories

• New friends

• A unique job experience

If you join our Youth Get It Intern team, we’ll commit to training you, paying you, and making sure you have an amazing experience. In return, we ask each Youth Get It Intern for a commitment to reliability, dependability, and punctuality. After your academic school work, this needs to be your #1 priority. If you’re a student entering grade 11 or 12 in September 2017, and live in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, or Greater Victoria, you’re eligible* to apply to be on the Youth Get It Intern team.
