The City of Los Angeles Department of City Planning is exploring ideas to encourage vibrant communities and employment hubs around the region’s growing transit network through the Los Angeles Transit Neighborhood Plans (LATNP) program. The planning effort looks out to the year 2040 and considers how new land use and zoning regulations for the neighborhoods around five Orange Line stations can promote active, walkable places and achieve State objectives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by planning for growth near transit. At these open houses, the community will have an opportunity to learn about:

• Community input received at workshops held in July 2016• How community input is being incorporated into the

initial concepts

• What the next steps in the planning process are

Both meetings will consist of an overview presentation, followed by an open house featuring stations covering each geographic area. Drop in any time during the open house to learn about the plan and provide feedback.

El Departamento de Planificación Urbana de la Ciudad de Los Ángeles está explorando propuestas para estimular el desarrollo de comunidades vibrantes y centros de empleo alrededor de la red de transporte público a través del Programa de Comunidades Orientados al Transporte Sustentable (Los Angeles Transit Neighborhood Plans o LATNP por sus siglas en inglés). El esfuerzo del programa esta pronosticado para el año 2040 y analiza cómo los nuevos usos de tierra y regulaciones de zonificación de las comunidades en los alrededores de cinco estaciones de la Metro Orange Line pueden promover zonas activas y caminables y también satisfacer los objetivos del Gobierno del Estado de California para reducir emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero. En estos foros públicos, la comunidad tendrá la oportunidad de conocer:• Las contribuciones de la comunidad en los talleres públicos de julio 2016• Cómo las opiniones de la comunidad han sido incorporadas a los conceptos iniciales• Los siguientes pasos en el proceso de planeaciónAmbas consultas públicas consistirán de una presentación general, seguida por un foro público con tableros de información para cada área geográfica. Participe durante cualquier hora durante el foro público para conocer el programa y dar su opinión.
