TRANSCRIPT

Joint Statement:

This assignment requires our group to produce four lessons which is strongly linked directly to the Australian Curriculum as well as integrating ICT through each lesson. Our aim is to encourage students to actively engage and learn through the development of hands-on, research-based, creative and problem-solving activities.

Part 1: Planning: 16% A joint statement that expresses our understanding of what is required for our ICT Integration Project. A mind map (spider scribe), which will, explains a step-by-step plan for each lesson that will include links to the Australian Curriculum. A project plan, which will explain what tasks will each group member complete and the date it will be completed by. A statement that addresses how the constructivist learning theory underpins our ICT project. A forward planning document (four lessons), which details the teaching and learning which will occur through out each lesson. A statement, which outlines the integration of three ICT resources that will be used as a learning tool through out the four-lesson sequence.

Part 2: Prototyping: 20% A lesson plan which focuses on ANZAC History for Year 2s. Our lesson will be presented in the class and the lesson will be published online. The lesson will be approximately 30 minutes long. Self-reflection to assess on how the lesson will engage and enhance the students learning experience. Evaluation and assessment designed for our peers to complete, so we can receive feedback on the effectiveness of our lesson and if we achieved to integrate ICT into our lesson. Before we present our lesson to our peers, we will test the ICT resources to make sure everything is working.

Part 3: Publishing: 30%: Introduction/main page which will feature all of the lessons steps and resources that will allow students to easily navigate the information and activities that the students are learning. An assessment page, which will include a rubric that will evaluate all of the students progress and engagement of each of the activities. Publish our website which will feature our four task pages that will include all the activities, resources and information that will encourage students to engage and complete all the activities which aim to educate students on ANZAC history. A reflections page that will allow students the opportunity to reflect on what they have learned or anything that they would like to learn about. The reflections page will also provide the students the opportunity to evaluate the activities and or anything that they believe should be improved. Submission of the published website.

Our aim for the ICT project is to enhance the students understanding of the ANZAC history, as well as understanding importance of honouring and remembering all of our troops past and present who served Australia. In order to teach our students such a significant time for our country, we want to deliver and provide important information and facts in an engaging, interesting and creative way, which will relate to todays students interests and needs. That is why we created interesting and forward thinking lessons, which include hands-on, research-based, creative and problem-solving activities.
