Cameroon EyeglassAnd Medical Mission

As some of you may know, I was accepted to go on a mission trip to Zambia this summer. I was put on the waiting list for a medical mission trip to Cameroon. Not quite sure where I was supposed to be, a staff member at Teen Missions assured me that God’s will would be evident. Despite a long waiting list, there became a spot available on the team travelling to Cameroon.

On July 19, I will be flying to Orlando, Florida for two weeks of boot camp.
During this time, my team will:o Meet and learn how to work
together and encourage each other
o Be trained to fit individuals for eyeglasses
o Learn skills that will allow us to assist at rescue centres
o Grow together in Christ and learn more about His Word
Our flight arrives in Douala, Cameroon on July 10th and we will be flying back on August 4th.
We will be flying from Orlando, to Washington, to Addis Ababa, and then to Douala. Finally, we will take a bus to Nsongwa where we will begin our work.
The medical need in this area is great as diseases and illnesses are often not treated properly. We will specifically be helping with children that have severe wounds, worms in their feet and knees, skin infections, common childhood illnesses, as well as fitting patients with eyeglasses.

Spiritually!
So far I’ve been blessed with lots of prayer and have been able to raise approximately half of the needed funds.
