About the Author Mark is the author of 8 published non-fiction books, one a best-seller in its 12th printing; he’s also written three novels, the first of which won the Jack London Prize; he has over 200 skills that people have actually paid good hard money for; he co-created the Children’s Grief Program at Kara, a community service agency in Palo Alto, CA. He writes the popular weekly blog, The Flowering Brain – translating social neuroscience into common sense - which he hasbeen doing for more than five years; he firmly be-lieves life is about who you meet and create things with.
He has a B.A. degree in general psychology;a master of science degree in family systems; a master of arts in counseling psychology; and a Ph.D. in transpersonal psychology (a.k.a. Woo-Woo Psychology). He and a friend co-created the Global Online Learning Program at Sofia Univer-sity where his students have won research awards from the International Listening Association, the United States Body Psychotherapy Association and the American Psychological Association.
He’s also been a full-time professional house builder for 25 years and built or remodeled over 80 houses.
