Cadets learn to take pride in their physical appearance by learning how to wear the uniform properly.

Cadets learn peer teaching by developing lesson plans and assisting in teaching classes.

By taking the JROTC course, cadets learn to succeed. JROTC teaches cadets to be good at the things they need to be good at – in school and in life.

Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Prepares Students For Life

JROTC is a high school course given during regular school hours and includes many out-of-classroom activities. Students learn the basics in military history, government, technology aware-ness, and current events. The main focus is on developing leadership skills as well as how to study, take tests, interview for jobs and first aid. There is also a great deal of extracurricular ac-tivities including drill teams, color guards, parades, and support of community activities. Selected students have the chance to attend a summer leadership camp where they will navigate obstacle courses, play team sports and learn land navigation and water safety techniques.JROTC prepares youth for life in the 21st century.

What do our students say about the program.

“Even if you don’t plan on going into the military, you still have the leadership skills and discipline, and you will never lose them.”

“JROTC has helped me by providing situations where I can exercise re-sponsibility, teamwork, and accountability.”

“Since enrolling in the program, I have felt a sense of pride and the spirit of belonging. The program is both physically and academically challenging. It prepares students to better themselves.”
