FOREWORD

.Truth About Yusuf Ali Blasphemy Case

First I was reluctant, to offer my comm ents on the

exhaustive judgm ent of the learned Sessions Judge Lahore M ian

, Moham mad Jahangir dated 05-8-2000" whereby he has awarded

death sentence to YusufA li for offence o f contem pt of the Holy, P rophet (PBU II) as he had claim ed to have attained the last and

final stage of the P rophethood after his return from the holy city

.Madina-i-Munawwarrah. A longw ith death penalty the convict

'has been punished for com mitting the heinous crim e of fraud and

forgery in the nam e of the Holy P rophet (PBUH). He is punished

also 'for dcgrading fhe sublime status o f Ahl-i-B ait (AS) and

Sehaba (RA). Secondly I avoided to m ake comments as I am th e

part of the judgm ent and my book "Namoos -i-Rasool & Qanoon-li~Tauhccn-i-R isalat" has been referred again and again by th e

COlW1 'C t in his statement before the trial court. In the m eanwhile a- - -

socalled futhahi of the convict nam ely Z.Z . Ham id expressed his

opinion about> the judgm ent in Daily Dawn's issue of 13th

August 200(> '.and stooped down to the lowest level of m ischief

by' calling the judgm ent as to be m urder of justice and presented

th e convict as a benevolent and honourable Sufi Scholar of

Islam. The remarks about the judgm ent show the shallowness oflega! knowledge of the 'writer. The facts stated by him amo unted

to travesty of truth. Similarly th e Daily News of Lahore of the

same date published statem ent of the convict, which is distortion

'of the convict. Janab Arshad Qureshi, a learned scholar, who

belongs to Qadriah Sufic lineage, to publish the judgm ent of the

learned Sessions Judge in a 'book Corm, so that the public shouldsec the convict in his true colours through this historic judgm ent,

so he approached me with a request to write a foreword for this

book which is under print. The compiler of the present book is

also author of the book 'Fitna-i-Yusuf Kazzab' in three volumes,

far as the conduct and character of the convict is concerned, he

has proved himself through his own documents produced in the'

court to be such a big fraud that human mind 'could have ever

conceived before the latest mechanical devices. .., .

He has submitted a document which has been exhibited as

1)1: by the trial court and is also, part of this book as Schedule, l.

About this document he claimed that it was c ertific ate directly

SCI]t to h im by, the Holy, Prophet (PBUH) declaring him to . be

'Khali fa-i-Auzam. According , to .admission .In the cross

examination by Inc al l th e Prophets were appointed as Khalifas

i.c. vicegerents of God onearth and the H oly Prophet (PBUH) is

Khalila-i-Azam , chief vicegerent, 'so by virtue of this certificate, ' ,

J10\\i he is Khulifa-i-Azam on earth. He further admitted in the

cross examination that neither ,one of four Caliphs was holding

the high office of Khalifa-j.Azam. In an answer to th e question

he ,said this certificate of Khalifa-i-Azam , from the Holy Prophet

was sent to 'hinl by a saint of Karachi, Abdullah Shah Ghazi

through the m edium of computer on, his letter pad. It is

interesting to note that the said saint 'of Karachi had died . .JOQ

year ugo. 'In the said certificate which is in English, the convict

has been addressed, by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as Khalifa-e-

.Azam , Hazrat .lrnaru At-Sheikh Abu A', 'H. Muhammod Yusuf

knowledge' and put questions relating to,' .m odern scientific

research. I would ,Iike to m ention here that th e convict has stated, .

in the court that {:he has been receiving all the messages direct

. from the Holy _Prophet (PBUH) either in Arabic or English. I

asked him (he connotation of Quranie word "Taqwa", but he was

'. una h ie to answer. I asked him the meaning of "amplitude" and

"resurrection", the words on the top of the certificate of Khalifa-

i-Azam, hut he miserably failed to ten th e simple menaings of

these words. lie was unable to tell even the nam es of six

. a uthentic hooks of Hadecs (Sihah Sittah), know n and respected

allover the muslim world after the Holy Quran. He has no

knowledge of a very famous Hadees of Madinatul 11m in respect

of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Hazrat Ali (RA) despite hils

claim of being Al-i-Rasool, descendant of the Holy P rophet

(PBUH). whereas he is Bhatti by caste according to his school

certificate. His name was ' Yusuf Ali according to school &college ccrti flcates and service record (Schedule II), He added

"Mohammad' after retirement with malacious design to doge

and .dcfraud people for getting huge am ount and property worth

m illions of rupees by means of deception in th e name of the

Iloly Prophet (PBUH) . These facts have been proved by his own

admission» and admitted documents. Kindly sec the judgment.

He claims to have deeply studied Iqbal, but quite unaware of his

six lectures and does not know the meaning of his phraseology in

hispoetry, nor could he explain philosophy of "Khudi' i.e. Ego

propounded by Iqbal. His claim to be associated with M aulana

Muududi is absolutely false and denied by Jarnat-i-Islarni.

Similarly he docs not know ABC of modem science and failed to

answer for what DNA stands for. The word -he used in his own

statem ent before the court. In furtherance of his no to rio us plan

, he claim ed him self to be' the Director General of W orld

Assembly of M uslirn Youth, a world wide organization with its

I lcadquartcr at Jcddah and offices throughout the world. I havebeen associate member of this organization, so when I

immediately contacted its Secretary General D r. Maneh-Al-

Johani who replied by very urgent fax to :me that any person by

- . nam e o r Yusuf Ali is 110t known to WAMY, nor was he ever

appointed as Director General. In the said Ictterit has been

clearly slated that if the said Yusuf An p.toduccd miy _~oc( l :mcnt

or any other m aterial to prove his claim , it shall 5C regarded

to take oflegal and lawful action to get him punished. The said

letter was produced in the court and it is also attached as

Schedule II L The convict was not contended with this forgery, so

he upgraded himself as A:mbassador from Saudi Arabia to

Cyprus and posed himself as His Excellency in group photo

(Schedule :IV) with late Chief Justice Hamoodur Rehman andJustice (R) Muhammad Afzal Cheerna, who denied to be

acquainted with any such His Excellency on my telephone call

trom Islam abad. This fact m ay also be verified ftom Justice

Chccma.

The convict denied in his statement that Mirza Ghulam

Ahmed Qadyani is known to him: but as a matter of fact. he has

adopted the same methodology of his predecessor in interest

Mirza of Qudyun, a planted agent of British imperialism, wholin.;~ appeared as reformer. then he claimed himself to be Mehdi.

Saviour. Then hc declared himself to be the Christ, who is also

being awaited to come down from the heavens to defeat the

forces o r evi I. A fter strengthening him self with the coercive

Powers of British Government he finally announced to be the

reappearance of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and according to

dictates of his masters abolished Jehad which was permanent

lurk ing danger of toppling their Govt. This socalled attainment .

did 11()~ satisfy his devilish desire, so he claimed to be the

superior to the last Prophet of Islam (PBUH). It is pertinent to

state that the law of Blasphemy 'of the Holy Prophet was

ubrogatcd by the Britishers after usurping the powers from

Muslim rulers or India. w hile the. law of blaspheny was in force

in England at that time in 19th century and sti U it is on the

statute book. Despite the fact that the law of blasphemy ~as

nbrog.ucd in Ind-ia by British Govt, and Mirza Ghulam Ahmedhad lull Ciovcrumental support, for his new religion in the guise

of Islam. he could not face the wrath of Muslims of India for his

false claim . So il1 his book Hamamatul Bushra published in 131 ~

which is also placed as' exhibit hi the court) that after appearance

down any religious m ovem ent against him he again proclaimed

that Hl.lYOIlC who disbelieve him is out of pale of Islam . This

announcement was made in his Maktoobat published in the

month o r March 1906 (Schedule VI) copy of the same is

auachcd as part of the record of the trial court. .With this background, the convict Yusuf A li follow ed

the footsteps of Mirza- Ghuiani Ahmed and proved himself by

oral and documentary evidence that he is true successor in

interest o r his predecessor impostor. First he approahccd to the

- religious quarter as preacher of Islam, then as Mard-e-Kamil,

thereafter as huarn-al-Waqt i.e. Mehdi, the next step after Mehdi

was dec la ring himself as Khalifa-i-Azam. W .e have already given

details of scl f upgrading. H e - then claim ed him self t o be the Holy

Prophet (PBUIl) before the -followers in the basement named a,sGhar-i-l lim . Like Ghulam Ahmed Mirza he was also ..; ,.n ot

satixficd with this so called claim therefore finally in order to

show himself greater than the last Prophet of Allah (PBUHj- he

declared that 1400 years back the Holy P rophet was on duty; but

in th e present tim es he has attained the perfection and finality of

th e prophcthood by beauty. In -support of this mischievous and

outragillg claim -of the convict the prosecution produced 14

witnesses account of convict's claim of being Holy Prophet

Muhammad ~PBUH) with perfection of beauty. There is no

enmity with these witnesses of social and religious status. On the

other . hand . they were- blind followers and particularly

Muhammad -" Ii Abu Bakar was so closed that he was given title

of Abu Bakar Siddique for compliance with the a llegiance of top

most xurrcndcr to his· convict master: This devotee had paid

money worth m il.lions by cheques and drafts from Karachi and

constructed well furnishedipalacc for him with Ghar-i-Hira

therein, Thefacts of receiving money in cash through cheques &

.drafts had not been denied by the convict. He was awarded the

titleof his Sahabi as. Siddique for surrendering al l his property in .

favour or his so called prophet. In this way he has cntraped the

innocent people in the nam e of the Holy P rophet-and left them" as,

destitute people, W hen he saw the wrath of muslim populus

against him. he denied the claim just like Mirza Ghulam Ahmed

Qadyani ill' order to save his neck. The denial was deceitful

misinterpreting th e sacred words 'Muhammad' 'AAI-e-Rasool'

.and 'Sahubah' as apparent on th e face of record.I will recommend the reader to critically exam ine the

statem ent of the accused and my cross examination, alongwith

the documents .produccd by th e convict. [ hope and believe that

this will CXpOSl' the convict and his false claims.

Without being apologetic I have proud privilege to say

that I am the lirst to revive punishment of contempt of the Holy

P rophet (PBLJII) in Pakistan after its creation as m uslim state but

i t is signi [icunt to note that this judgment in accordance with this

law will dispel all doubts of non, muslim communities in

Puk ixtan and abroad. particularly the Governments of Europe

lind USA that the law of blasphemy of Islam is not to victimize

the non muslim , Christian or Qadyani or any other religious

community and no non muslim has been convicted under this

law so tar due to strict observance of law of evidence. Yusuf AI~,

a muslim conunittcd the gross and grave contempt of the Holy

Prophet to defraud and deceive people with ulterior motive to

gruh the money and property of the ,innocent people by. entrapping them in the name of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and
