Preparing fruit and vegetablesWashallfruitandvegetableswellbeforejuicing.Thereisnoneedtopeelvegetablesthathaveathinskinbutalightscrubwithacleanspongewillhelpridofanydirtthatmaybestuckonoranywaxycoatings.
Peelfruitandvegetablesthathaveathickskinsuchasmelons,pineappleandcitrusfruit.
Juiceonlythefreshestoffruitandvegetablestogetthemostoutthemandthebestflavours.
Cutlargepiecesoffruit,suchasmelonsintolargewedges.
Someseedsfromcitrusfruitscanbebittersoyoumaywanttoremovesomeoftheseedsifdesired.
Removeseedsandstonesfromfruitsuchasmangoes,papayaandstonefruit.Thiswillpreventthebladefromgettingdamaged.
Juicing techniquesWhenjuicingdifferentfruitandvegetablesitmayhelptojuiceindifferentcombinations.Forexample,whenjuicingapplesandoranges,juicethesoftfruit(oranges)first,thenfollowwiththehardfruit(apples)second.Thiswillhelpyoutoachievethemaximumjuiceextractionfromthefruitandvegetables.
Whenjuicingfreshherbssuchasmintorparsley,addtheherbsinbetweenthefruitandvegetablestogetthemostoutoftheherborifonlyusingasmallquantity,addtheherbatthesametimeasapieceoffruitandvegetable.
Bananascanbehardtojuicebutthetastegoesalongway.Whenjuicingablendoffruitwithbananas,addthebananaaseitherthefirstorsecondpieceoffruit.Thenectarofthebananawillsitinsidethefilteringbasketandastheremainingfruitsareaddedintothejuiceextractortheywillreleasethebanananectarthroughouttherestofthejuiceresultinginfrothyflavoursomejuice.
Whenjuicingsmallfruitsuchasgrapesorstrawberries,addthefruitinhandfulsratherthanoneatatime,thiswillmaximisetheamountofjuiceextracted.
Beawarethatbeetrootstainsallotherfruitandvegetables.Ifjuicingseveraldifferentjuicecombinations,juicethedrinkwiththebeetrootlast,soastonotstaintheotherdrinks.

Before UseAfterunpackingyourjuicer,werecommendthatyoudissembletheunitbeforeusingforthefirsttime.Washallpartsexceptthemotorbaseinhotsoapywater.Rinseanddryimmediately.Important:Alwaysensureyourjuicerisunpluggedfromthepoweroutletwhennotinuse,duringassemblingorwhilstremovingparts.1.Setthemotorbaseonadry,levelsurface.

Quick cleanForeasycleaning,ensurethatimmediatelyafterusethatthejuicerisdisassembledandthateachremovablepartisrinsedunderrunningwater,removinganywetpulpandthenallowtoairdry.
Thorough cleaningDisassemblethejuicerandplaceallremovablepartsaside,see‘Disassemblingyourjuicer’onpage11.Rinsethejuicecollector,juicercover,pulpcontainerandfoodpusherunderrunningwaterandwashwithwarm,soapywater.Rinsewell.
Usingabrush,holdthestainlesssteelbladeandfilteringbasketunderrunningwaterandbrushtheoutsideofthebasketfirst.Thenwiththebasketstillunderrunningwater,brushtheinsideofthebasketinananti-clockwisedirection,removingthepulp.Toensurethestainlesssteelbladeandfilteringbasketisfreeofallremainingpulp,holdituptolightandensurethattheholesinthefilteringbasketarenotblocked.Important:Juicingbladesareverysharp,handlejuicingfilterbasketwithcarewhenremoving,replacingandcleaning.Useasoft,dampclothtowipethemotorbaseclean.
