Company presidents, Dave Heydinger and Marsha Anderson Bomar celebrated at agathering of more than 200 well wishers, including City of Duluth staff, GwinnettChamber members, city and county leaders, and staff from both companies.
"This event marks a milestone in both the construction of our new headquarters andthe redevelopment of our Downtown area," said, Dave Heydinger. "I am so glad tosee so many of you here with your families", said Ms. Anderson Bomar. "Family andcommunity are important to all of us so it is most appropriate to be celebratingtogether."

GPCID Welcomes GwinnettTech Campus To DistrictCID played lead role in joining mall owners with college officials
The Gwinnett Place CID is welcoming Gwinnett Technical College’s expansioninto the District.
Gwinnett Tech plans to offer continuing education courses in new classroomspace inside Gwinnett Place Mall.
The Gwinnett Place CID played a facilitating role by bringing together leadersfrom Gwinnett Tech and Simon Property Group to complete the unique project.
“We are pleased we could work together with Gwinnett Tech and GwinnettPlace to bring this opportunity to area residents and businesses,” said Joe Allen,Gwinnett Place CID Executive Director. “The more quality of life and businessenhancements that come to the greater Gwinnett Place area, the more resilientour community becomes for the next generation.”
According to a recent media release from Gwinnett Tech, “the college willoccupy 32,600 square feet at Simon Property Group's Gwinnett Place Mall,opening in mid-September with classes starting in early October 2008.”
Gwinnett Tech will use the Gwinnett Place space for such instruction as Englishas a Second Language (ESL), OSHA training, real estate learning and other tradeor skills-based programs.
