So You’re Stranded on a Desert Island...

Things You’ll Need:• Motivation to escape• Encouragement• A way to pass the time until you’re rescued• A way to relax• A national anthem (you don’t know how long

you’ll be there!)

Motivation

I can imagine that it would be easy to get frustrated and lonely on a desert island, so I picked one of the best songs ever to help motivate me: 2NE1’s ‘I Am The Best’. With their help, I’ll have the confidence to build a raft and escape!

EncouragementThis peppy, fun song by Super Junior (ok, technically by Super Junior M) always encourages me to “never never give up”. Just the encouragement I need to escape back to civilization.

A Way to Pass the Time

Who knows how long I could be on this island... I’ll use the time well by practising the dance moves I learned in K-Pop Academy so I can be ready to dance to Exo’s ‘Overdose’ when I get back to real life.

A Way to Relax

I love the song ‘What is Love’ by D.O. and Baekhyun of EXO. I could definitely relax to this song while sipping a drink made for me by my monkey butlers.

Motivation

The lyrics to Infinite’s ‘Last Romeo’ are very determined and forceful. I think if I could listen to this song I’d be pretty determined as well, which would help me lay out a hundred stones spelling out “K-Pop Fan Stranded Please Send Peppero”.

Encouragement

I’ve always loved swing-style music, so TVXQ’s ‘Something’ is a fun, swinging way to encourage myself not to give up hope and stay on the island forever, no matter how many monkey butlers I have working for me.

A Way to Pass the Time

GI really attracted me with their boyish style and strong, punchy dancing. If I had lots of time on the desert island (and WiFi) I would love to learn how to do this dance to ‘Beatles’. If I had enough time to practice and no distractions, I might actually manage to do it right!

A Way to Relax‘This is Love’ by Super Junior is just an excellent song, hands down. It has good energy, but it’s not too fast, which makes it perfect for unwinding after a long day of trying to make fresh water out of salt water.

Motivation

With its driving beat and catchy tune, ‘Danger’ by BTS is an excellent song to have with me on my desert island. Plus, it’s a good reminder that I’d rather be back in the dangers of civilization where there’s lots of K-Pop than tucked away on my island drinking out of coconuts.

National AnthemLast but absolutely not least, my desert nation of Juliaopolis (Population: 1 human, 10 monkey butlers) requires a national anthem, and what could possibly be better than Big Bang’s ‘Fantastic Baby’? Nothing, that’s what. I will teach the monkeys the dance moves and Big Bang can come be the kings of the island and we can all have crowns made of shells and bit of palm tree. It’ll be a good aesthetic.
