He adeptly scooped it into the net andthe celebration began. We were hooting and hollering andhigh-ving... it was a rush, Ole said. But then it was a race to the weighboat as the big girl wanted to go bellyup in the livewell. In a wild ride as thetrough o the waves were growing, Oleheld her upside right, they ound a patrolboat, got it quickly measured ollowed byan equally quick photo, and Ole releasedher where she went merrily on her wayback to the depths o Fort Peck asuccess ul catch and release so she canmaybe spawn again next year. Good jobto eam Komrosky and all those otheranglers who are happy to put these big

ones back where they belong. + DAY 1 Friday saw 90 teams having vewalleyes (or more i they upgraded) ontheir cards. Trough the top 113 teams, they were just 32 walleyes shy o the ve-sh limit be ore it started dropping off. For example, eam #74 Jeff Koskiand Scott Fossum measured ve sh,but were in 108th place with a weighto 5.59 pounds, their largest being 1.32pounds (15.75 inches). Tats the wayit went or numerous teams on Fridayand both days, actually. Everyone wascatching sh, scores o little ones thatdidnt hit that 14 1/4 mark and lots o

Eyes that didnt make two pounds. Inact, only nine teams carded ve sh thatwere at least two pounds and up! Tere were just six walleyes thatwent over 10 pounds including that 321/2-inch, 14.03-pound hawg reeled inby eventual champions Jesse and MonicaReuter out o Sidney, who not only tookhome well over $10,000, but bragging

rights or the largest single-day weighto the tournament at 30.55 pounds.Next biggest walleye o the day was a12.06 pounder (31 inches) hauled inby Sidneys Dayton and Douglas Wick.Only problem is, the only other sh ontheir card or the day was an 18 incher(1.94 lbs.) and a rst-day total o an even14 pounds. Tey ound their kicker, butwere still only in 24th place. Eight teams were unable to nd ameasurable sh.

A total o 595 walleyes countedtowards the Day 1 results with a weighto 1,284.5 pounds or an average o 2.16pounds per sh. DAY 2

Saturdays shing results had 10walleyes over 10 pounds and just 60teams being able to card ve sh, allthe way down to 90th place or the day,Dave Riggin and Dave Wallem with 6.12pounds on ve. Largest walleye o the day wasa 14.72-pound monster (33 inches)hauled in by brothers Doug and OleKomrosky, which would ultimatelyearn them the Cool Under Pressureaward. Second largest walleye o theday was a 14.03-pounder caught bybrothers Marvin and Donald Johnson, propelling them rom 45th place on Day1 (11.06 pounds) to a third-place overall

nish. Teir second-day weight o 26.11pounds was third-best weight o thetourney. 11 teams were unable to measure ash on Saturday. Although more hawgs were caughton Day 2, the 517 sh on Saturdays ve-sh score cards were down rom the 595on Friday. Te total weight o 1,133.32

pounds averaged out to be 2.19 poundsper sh, just a sh art higher thanFridays average.

Kirby & Shawn Newton) were only a short distance away sothey radioed them and they came over and shot some footageof weighting this monster. First Walleye Tournament- First BigFish- First time on TV, all at the 2014 Montana Governor sCup Walleye Tournament on Fort Peck Lake.
