The Art of Storytelling Robert L. Taylor Community Complex had a storyteller from the Association of Florida Teaching Artists come in to tell the story of a woman and her name. The artist acted out the emotions and physical activity as she told the story. She wrote vocabulary words and recurring words as the story progressed. Once she was done telling the story, the campers went around the circle re-telling the story in their own words using the new vocabulary words. What a creative way to learn vocabulary and the art of storytelling!
The Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading also wants to congratulate Robert L. Taylor Community Complex for their superb reporting!! Every week they report a detailed account of their activities and how they relate to reading comprehension. They also have reported complete information for all participants in the SSBC! Complete information for each student is of the utmost importance in obtaining accurate outcome data for each site. Do you have complete data on each participant?
