A Fond Farewell to 2003-2004 RetireesHarrison School District acknowledges with appreciation the dedication and commitment with which this year’s retireeshave served our students, families and community through the years. We wish them well in all their future endeavors.

Dear Community Members,

June is a wonderful and yet bittersweet time for our school district. It is marked bycelebrations of the many accomplishments of our students, and difficult partings aswe bid our senior class goodbye and wish them well on their most exciting journeyinto adulthood. Presented here is a commemorative graduation issue of the districtnewsletter. I am certain that you will share our pride as we celebrate theirmyriad of achievements.

With pride and excitement we celebrated our four elementary school graduations, the LMK Moving Up ceremony, and of course, Harrison High School’s Commencement. We also bid farewell tomany employees who dedicated their lives to educating our children. We wish them well as they, too, move on tonew challenges.

I would like to reiterate the sentiments I shared with the Harrison High School Class of 2004 in my graduation dayaddress: “Thomas Jefferson wrote ‘Every generation needs a new revolution.’ Whatever that revolution is to be,whatever its purpose, it will be written by each one of you. Our world again looks to the next generation to help usredefine the possible. Your character and values will determine our destiny.”

After reading our newsletter, I am certain you will concur that these young people have the intelligence, thecommitment, and the vision to lead us to a promising and prosperous future.

Best wishes for a safe and restful summer. Sincerely,

Louis N. Wool, Superintendent of Schools

Superintendent Louis N. Wool withgraduating senior Molly Kurzius
