Youth Education for the Younger Crowd
Our Spiritual Sunday School Youth Ed willbe honoring the Power of Understandingfor the month of July. The disciple for thismonth is Thomas and the color is dazzlingGold. By exploring Bible andcontemporary stories and by creating anawesome Power of the Month Board, weintend to come to an understanding thatGod is the loving force in and through allthings and sees only good for us. In honor of the Fourth of July, the youthand teachers will be celebrating our
freedom during class time on Sunday, July 5 with "Fun in theSun" activities and treats. We will have games, crafts and yummytreats such as S'mores and lemonade. We know the youth of all ageswill enjoy this celebration. Please see additional information in this newsletter for ourGodSpell Vacation Bible School to be held from Monday, July20 to Friday, July 24 with a presentation on Sunday, July26. The cost is free and registration is due no later than Wednesday,July 15.
We are looking forward to a fun summer with the youth!
Healing and Wholeness Service

Please join us for our Healing and Wholeness Service. This onceamonth service will be filled with music, chant, prayer,and hands on healing conducted by members of our music team and
our prayer chaplain team.
If you've ever wanted a time and place where you could just be openand surrendered to the healing power of Spirit this will a wonderful
opportunity to be surrounded in love, prayer, and peace.

Swami Kenenanda

Unity of Fox Valley is blessed to host a meditation workshop facilitated
by Swami Kenenanda as part of his 2015 world tour. This will be hisonly appearance in Illinois this year. Swami Ken is a teacher of meditation in the Dhyan Meditationtradition, as handed down by his guru, Sri Shivabalayogi Maharaj,enlightened yogi from southern India. This simple technique isavailable to anyone who would like to meditate or would like a deepermeditation experience. Swami Ken is a beautiful soul who has dedicated his life to servinghumanity. Within two weeks of meeting his guru he was initiated into aspecial type of discipline known as 'Tapas.' The tapas is given only fora few stalwart souls who have the ability to sit in a deep state ofmeditation for extended periods of time up to 18 hours a day. For those attending the workshop:
The program takes about an hour and consists of meditationinstruction, meditation, discussion and time for Q & A. Wearcomfortable clothing.While the meditation is going on, the Swami will be meditating ina deep state and the energy in the room will become amazing andyou will find the time passes quickly.There is no charge for this program but a Love Offering towardshis further work is always appreciated. Books & meditationsupplies will also be available.

Women's Wisdom Circle
We are calling a circle and invite you to join with us in a selfdiscovery process.

The circle, or council, is an ancient form of meeting that has gatheredus into respectful conversation for thousands of years. In a circle,people shift from informal socializing into a receptive attitude of
thoughtful speaking and deep listening. It is our intention to meet theneeds (of our women) on a monthly basis that had been met at our
Annual Women's Retreats. All women are invited to join.

CommUnity events are the fourth Friday of each month,January through October, starting at 7 p.m. with free admission andfree refreshments at the conclusion.
Eight individuals with seemingly incurable health problems in thefilm were taken to the Amazon, home to 44,000 species of plants,and the basis of healing for the indigenous healers. The eightindividuals stayed 30 days. The ancient healing breakthrough offerssome surprises. The old herbs demonstrate their potent productionof healing powers.
The Green Team's twopart series on the pollinators offered insightin May and June meetings about the importance of MonarchButterflies, honeybees, and other creatures of nature which offerbalance and importance to the life we live and, all too often, take forgranted.
The Green Team offers relevant information on a wide variety oftopics each month and invites community residents to join us thefourth Friday of each month at Unity of Fox Valley.

I have a fun family! We do all kinds ofcrazy, fun things together!
This month we participated in a 5k ColorRun in Lake Zurich. It was AWESOME! Itwas my slowest 5k but who cares?! I wasrunning with my kid! I had such a greattime running ahead and hitting other kidswith color then slowing down to let myfamily catch up. It was a memorable 5kthat I would definitely do again with myFAMILY!!
I hope you had awonderful time with youfamily this month and aneven better Father's Day!
