ANNE M. LEWIS
DIVISION MANAGER
COMPANY SERVICES
Anne began her career with BPI as a Production Associate on April 14, 1986.Her first job was learning to tig weld catalytic converters. Anne has performed many roles throughout her 31 year career at BPI & Honda. She has served as Production Associate, Technical Specialist, Team Leader, Project Coordinator, Assistant Manager and Manager. She has also worked on many projects ranging from starting up a new department to Project Leader for a new transmission line. In her current role, she manages the Company Services Division which includes the Accounting, Administration, and MIS departments. Anne is the first female Division Leader at HTM and is appreciative for this opportunity.
In an effort for associates to know and learn more about HTM’s Division Leaders, we introduce to you the Division Leader Profile Series. This series will allow each associate the opportunity to understand who the Division Leaders are along with their Honda history and some personal information. The first Division Leader in this series is Anne Lewis.
Division Manager Profile Series
Anne was born in southern Ohio, grew up in Bellefontaine, Ohio and currently resides in Champaign County. She has a passion for the great outdoors. (Gardening, working in her flower beds, swimming, camping, golfing, and enjoying the wildlife in her yard) She also enjoys various sports with her favorite teams being “The” Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals.
Anne feels strongly about supporting her community and those less fortunate. She has a strong passion for supporting our veterans and she participates in the “Polar Plunge” to support SpecialOlympics and most important of all she supports “Logan County Brain Injury Support Group” inmemory of her brother Chris.
Anne said, “she never wants to forget where she started with the company”. This is reflected inthe most rewarding part of her job being the interaction with associates. One of her most notable characteristics is making people laugh. She likes to incorporate humor into her work and personal life.
During her career, Anne has participated in several training and developmental programs. The main program she has been a part of is LAMP (the Leader Advancement Mentor Program). As part of this development program, Anne had the opportunity to experience multiple facets of Honda’s business and network with other Honda associates across North America, while strengthening her knowledge and leadership skills. Anne appreciated this opportunity and has put many of the lessons learned during that program into action in her current role. Anne’s feelings on being a successful leader are to have a good work / life balance, lead with honesty and integrity, and hear the voices of our associates.

Business Resource Groups are company-supported and associate-led groups comprised of associates aligned across broad constituencies such as gender, race/ethnicity, ability, age, experiences, and other dimensions of diversity. They operate within the contextof the HTM’s mission, values, goals, and business objectives and share responsibilityfor the time-intensive activities necessary to create and sustain cultural change, acting as a resource for both members and HTM.
Across North America, Honda has many BRG’s already established that cover severalareas. African American Resource Consortium (AARCH) at HMIN and Women in Manufacturing Group at multiple locations are two examples.
BRG’s are truly reflective of Honda’s Core Values. Through the work of these groups, all associates can actively live the Core Values both at work and in the community. We want all associates and customers to feel our passion and experience the joy of success as these groups work to initiate objectives that will fulfill their dreams on a daily basis.
In January of 2016, HTM launched a communication plan to inform associates about BRG’s and to spark interest in starting groups at our location. Since that time, several groups have started the process of becoming established as a BRG. Currently, we have The Leadership Group and Women Empowering Women Group forming as well as an established chapter of Honda Young Professionals (HYP). Please continue to watch for information regarding opportunities to join these groups and participate in their activities.
If you are interested in starting and/or joining a BRG, please contact Pilate Bradley or Shawn Shepard in Administration.

Lead Sampling Results for HTM Drinking Water System Dear Consumer:
Honda Transmission Manufacturing is a public
water system (PWS) responsible for providing
drinking water that meets state and federal
standards. Drinking water samples were
recently collected at 10 locations throughout
the plant and all sample results showed no lead present in the water.
HTM has no lead piping, solder, or service connections in its system.

HTM is required to conduct Adopt-a-Highway four times each year – usually from April to October. Typically,
6 - 16 associates gather in the lobby area for safety talk and equipment prior to the event. Facilities provides
everything needed for an effective cleanup, including, gloves, grabbers, vests, and trash bags. Safety is a high
priority, and HTM is happy to be supported by Logan Co Department of Transportation and State DOT District 7
Adopt-A-Highway Coordinator, Joyce Wolfe.
HTM associates do a great job cleaning litter from the side of Ohio 708, Ohio 235, and Ohio 274, as well as
Washington Township Road 61. Some unique things that were found over the years include a bowling ball and a
complete pie kit, canned pie filling, a can opener, and a pie pan! Once the clean up is finished, the state garage
picks up the collection bags from the side of the road. There’s been as many as 32 bags during one clean up. It’s
a fun service project, and the associates make a big difference for the community. It’s great to get outside in the
fresh air and enjoy time together!
Please contact Geordan Pflug Ext. 69571 or Ryan Eberhart Ext. 61988 to volunteer for the next event or to learn
more about the program.

● Will my email address change?
- No. Your email address will remain the same in Outlook as it is in Lotus Notes.
● Can we create an 'Alias' user name in Outlook?
- No. Outlook does not support Alias user names. Outlook will use the name that is in the HR system. If you would like your preferred name as the name
shown in the address book (EG: Rob vs Robert) please request that your preferred name be added in the HR system. NOTE: This will update a number
of systems that may be showing your given name.
● I can't find a person in the Outlook address book. What do I do?
- When you type a person's name into the "To" field remember to click the "Check Names" feature. This should resolve the email address.
● Can I send encrypted emails from Outlook?
- Not at this time. NOTE: All mail is transported internally in an encrypted fashion.
● Will the Outlook email database be larger than the current one in Lotus Notes?
- Yes. Outlook has a 100 gigabyte mail database limit.
● Will I be able to limit my search of email names to only my company? Can I default my search to a single company?
- In Outlook, Honda will have one single global address book. There will be no separate company address books to select from.
● I am receiving email failure messages to someone on Outlook. Have I done something wrong?
- No, please report this issue to the help desk immediately. Since Lotus Notes and Outlook use two different Directories, sometimes an update done
in one system is not reflected quickly enough in the other and it needs to be corrected.
● Will message recall work for all Outlook users going forward?
- Message recall will be switched on. Message Recall will work only for Honda Outlook users and will work best once all users in North America
have been migrated.
● What is the limit on attachment types and size?
- As Office 365 is a common service managed by Microsoft, they have standard limits applied to all Outlook mailboxes. They are much more
generous than previous Honda limits.
- Those limits can be found here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/exchange-online-limits.aspx#MessageLimits
● What is the maximum number of people you can send an email to?
- As Office 365 is a common service managed by Microsoft, they have standard limits applied to all Outlook mailboxes. They are much more
generous than previous Honda limits.
- Those limits can be found here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/exchange-online-limits.aspx.
● My emails are not fully downloading in Outlook. I can see a preview but unless I click on the email and open it, it
won't download the full content. So in the preview pane, I can see the email, but the forward and reply commands
are greyed out until I fully download the email.
- Outlook is "bandwidth aware". If you are on a poor wireless or Cell "Mifi" connection, Outlook will not download the whole message unless
you need it. Outlook preferences are set in the Send/Receive>Download Preferences menu. Here you will see Outlook is set by default to:
On Slow Connections Download Only Headers.
● What will be the retention policy for email in the Outlook inbox?
- An auto deletion rule of 90 days after receipt will be applied on any content not placed under the 5-year folder or set with the 5-year tag.
● I received an attached file called "notesactivemail.NSF" but cannot open it by clicking on it. How do I open the file?
- Save the file to a location on your computer and open it from there.
● I can't find a user in the Outlook address list. What am I doing wrong?
- When you are first migrated, no contacts will automatically be found when using type ahead. To quickly find a name, type the name and
then select Find Names in the Outlook menu. This should provide you a choice of names to choose from. Additionally, the names in the
Outlook address list are taken from our HR systems. If you type Jim but the offical HR name is James, the user may not be found, so you
may have to search by a last name.
