TACLOBAN CITY - The Regional Devel-opment Council (RDC) for Eastern Visayas has nominated Leyte Governor Leopoldo Dominico “Mic” Petilla as a new chairperson, after the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) central office reportedly turned down earlier nominations of his moth-er, Palo town Mayor Remedios Petilla.
In its recent full council meeting, RDC mem-bers unanimously approved the nomination of

TACLOBAN CITY- Senator Alan Peter Cayetano has expressed his opposition to any possible transfer of the Daniel Z. Romualdez (DZR) Airport out from this city.
According to him, transferring the location of the DZR Airport will only cause delay for Tacloban’s complete recovery from the massive destruction caused by super typhoon Yolanda.

“So, parang injustice naman yun sa Ta-cloban; instead na matulungan mo, nagka-roon ng second disaster yun,” the senator added.
