GENERAL RULES & IN FOR MA TIONHOME LIVING / BAKING & CANNING / NEEDLEWORK

1. ENTERING Please group your entries for each department on your entry form (i.e. list all horticulture entries before starting to list food entries). (a) Completed entry forms must be filed with the Office of the Secretary by Noon Thursday prior to the

Fair. Entry forms may be dropped off at the Fair Board Office located on the Exhibition Grounds (go over bridge, turn right then turn left, at the sign, just before golf course and look for tan building). Entry tags will be picked up at this time and completed by Exhibitor.

Entry forms may be emailed or faxed to the office as well, however it is up to the exhibitor to make arrangements to pick up the tags so that they can be filled out and placed on the exhibit before it is brought in Thursday evening.

(b) Positively NO entries will be accepted after Noon Thursday. (c) Please place your entry forms with the Secretary early so proper space may be reserved for display pur-

poses and so preliminary paper work can be completed. (d) If for some reason an exhibit planned cannot be brought, please notify the Directors In Charge and

have the item cancelled from your entry form. This will assist the directors and prevent searching for an item that is not there.

(e) In all cases the right is reserved to reject entirely, or accept conditionally any entry.

2. SET UP

All Items - must be brought in on Thursday 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the MNP Exhibition Building with the exception of Quilting Classes. Please check for time and place of drop off.

3. EXHIBITORS

(a) All exhibitors will be charged a $10.00 + GST Exhibitor’s Fee. This fee will entitle the exhibitor to compete and Gate Admission to the fair (all 3 days).

(b) Can make only one entry and receive only one premium in each section. (c) Must attach tags to each item before presenting it to the director in charge of the exhibit. (d) All exhibits must be in place at the time specified. (e) Judging will be in accordance with the requirements of each department of the Fair Board. Judges

decision will be final. (f) Aggregates will be determined by the following point system: 1st - 5 points 2nd - 3 points 3rd - 1 point. (g) After being judged the exhibits will be displayed by the directors. (h) Loading Zones will be reserved at the East doors. NO parking or standing allowed in these areas. (i) Building hours shall be 12:00 to 10:00 p.m. Friday; 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday and 12:00 p.m.

to 8:00 p.m. Sunday.

4. TAKE OUT

(a) Directors will be in attendance on Monday, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. (b) All exhibitors are asked to pick up their exhibits and prize money during that time.

(c) Each exhibitors entry form will be with the director in charge and must be signed by the exhibitor before articles are removed.

The Portage Industrial Exhibition Association assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury however caused to any entries and exhibits. The Association, its officers, directors, employees and volunteer workers are released by the exhibitors from all liability in respect thereof.
