MALAWI MOMENTS

Delegation Departure Countdown- 3 WEEKS! (night of Sunday July 31)

Our Sister Parish Covenant reviewed (continued from last week's bulletin)-

Commitments of our covenant relationship - initiated in August of 2015 for 3 years- up for renewal this summer.

How have we done? 1.) Spiritual growth and 2.) Cultural learning (were reviewed in last week’s bulletin)

3.) Sharing experience of Parish administration and Parish Life. We have learned that the disparities are vast in the

way the 2 parishes operate- especially financially. We may wish to focus more on how we are similar in the way that

parishioners volunteer their time and talents. 4.) Visits/Exchanges of delegations. We have done well to send a delega-

tion each year but have had only one opportunity to bring visitors to St. Brendan's- in 2016 when former pastor Fr.

Chris Chatsogola and school principals John Phiri and Angelina Emmanuel were hosted here. 5.)Sharing resources/

projects. These have been numerous- funds have been sent to bring the delegation to visit, bring electricity to the vil-

lage, for Fr. Saulos's truck repairs and the ONGOING school lunch program that is enabling village children to be suc-

cessful in their pursuit of an education. Thanks be to God for the faithful and generosity of the St. Brendan community.

Estoy

esperando conocerte mientras te sirvo aquí.
