Todays teaser: Queens can move horizontally, vertically and diagonally any number of spaces as illustrated. One piece attacks another if it moves to the same tile that the other piece is on. How can you arrange eight queens on the board so they cannot attack each other? (There is more than one solution, and heres a hint: naw, no hint, that might make it too easy.)

What is a conundrum? The definition of the word Conundrum is: a confusing and difficult problem or question. The six contradictions of socialism in the United States of America:1. America is capitalist and greedy yet half of the

population is subsidized.2. Half of the population is subsidized yet they think

they are victims.3. They think they are victims yet their representatives

run the government.4. Their representatives run the government yet the

poor keep getting poorer.5. The poor keep getting poorer yet they have things

that people in other countries only dream about.6. They have things that people in other countries only

dream about yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

And that pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st century. These next three sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our current government and cultural environment: We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the

actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. Funny how that works. And heres another one worth considering...

Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. How come we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money? Whats interesting is the first group worked for their money, but the second didnt. Yes, there are people who need to be on welfare, as what it was intended for, but there are far too many who know how to use the system (see #3 & #4 above).

Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our military and cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but we are not stopping the payments or benefits to illegal aliens?

Soldiers and Airmen in their day-to-day duties supporting the many missions of the National Guard, whether it be military training, combat deployment, or supporting community emergencies and functions. this a unique opportunity to view the Montana National Guard through the eyes of its professional photographers. We have a lot of missions that our organization does that people havent a clue, says Major Chamberlin, explaining that this is particularly true of Montanas larger communities such as Missoula and Billings, adding that smaller communities such as Glasgow and Malta are more in tune.

Featured photographers of the Montana Army National Guard Expo include the works of Major Tim Crowe, 2nd Lieutenant Dan Bushnell, Sergeant 1st Class Tom Steber (one of his photos featured in this expo won the esteemed title of Army Photo of the Year in 2008), Lieutenant Colonial Kelly Morris, Staff Sergeant Dan Yarnell, Specialist Britney Bodner, Sergeant First Class Roger Dey, Senior Master Sergeant Eric Peterson, Staff Sergeant Christy Mason, Staff Sergeant Stacey Scotson, and Chief Warrant Officer Mat Rowley. This is the final year the Photo Expo will be on display, and First Community Bank in Glasgow is one of its final stops.

Some our local Guardsmen assisted Major Chamberlin in setting up the Photo Expo.
