TRANSCRIPT
July & August 2017
Dear beloved friends,
Every time I have taught the Cate-chism to a group of students or pre-sented an overview of Christian doc-trine in a Bible Class, I have been overwhelmed with the greatness of God and how presumptuous it is to even attempt to cover the chief doc-trines of our faith in one short series of classes. Our God is too big and great to be grasped in the short time we too often set aside to pour over His revelation of Himself to us in His Word.
Some verses of Scripture came to mind as much needed reminders: "Lord my God, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty." (Psalm 104:1—NIV)
"Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom." (Psalm 145:3—NIV)
"Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments, And His paths beyond tracing out!" (Romans 11:33—NIV)
How I thank God for His greatness! I need someone as great as He is ... greater than I ... greater than my problems ...
greater than my needs ... greater than my enemies ... greater than my world.
I offer this same great, yet loving, God to be your God and your greatness. He does indeed give us Himself and all His greatness in His Son Jesus Christ.
But I not only thank God for His greatness. I need to learn more and more of Him—His greatness, His love, His salvation. Thanks be to God that He has so clearly and abundantly re-vealed Himself to us in His Word.
I am confident that you too are aware of your great need to learn more of God. To meet that need, I challenge you to become a "theologian"—a word that simply means "a student of God."

A note from Trinity’s Vice President . . . .BeBe Owen
This month as I write this article– it is with sadness that I inform you that Tena Sigmon’s husband, Mickey, passed away early in the morning on July 11. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tena and her family.
Last Sunday, Pastor Bode and his family attended a family reunion. Matt Dixon,
early service, and Jim Davis, second service, filled in for Pastor and we wish to
thank both of them.
Trinity’s Annual Picnic and Open Arms Summer Kick-off was enjoyed by many on June 17. The out-of-
doors was filled with laughter. A thank you to all of you who contributed. It was a fantastic picnic and
really good food, too.
As we move through the summer months we continue to miss our Northern members and await your
return.
And before I close, I ask all of you to take an invitation card from the pew rack at church and use it to
invite your friends and neighbors to Trinity.
Blessings, BeBe

MUSTARD SEED VOLUNTEERS
Nine volunteers from Trinity worked together at Mustard Seed on July 6. We accomplished so much and enjoyed every minute. We will be there again on August 3. Come join us.
Thanks to Joe Malfait for taking the picture.
Come join us on August 3, 1:00. See you there!
"With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of His call-ing, and that by His power He may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your
every deed prompted by faith." - 2 Thessalonians 1: 11
In her book, Believing God Day by Day, Beth Moore writes:
"God can deliver anyone... from anything... at any time. He doesn’t need any help. Yet He invites us to be part of His great work through prayer. Never underes-timate the effects of intercessory prayer lifted for our deliverance. Never underestimate the effect of prayer for others. If we don’t intercede for one an-other, we miss opportunities to see His deliverance and to thank Him for His faithfulness. I call this God’s profit-sharing plan. When we pray for one another, we share the blessings when His deliverance comes, be-cause we’ve been personally involved."
Don't miss the opportunity and privilege of praying for one another. Prayer is one of God's greatest gifts for us to utilize on behalf of one another.
Please join the Prayer Team on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 - 11:15 am for a time of corporate prayer. There is power in joining together in fellowship around the Word and prayer. Contact Mary Bode with any questions at [email protected], or 772-485-3663.

In July we are learned about Cultures of the
World and the teachers are going above and be-
yond with this unit.
The children are really understanding.
They made globes, self portraits, danced the cul-
ture dances and dressed up. They are ending the
unit with a Multicultural Luncheon.

Pastor Bode’s article continued - There are blessings and promises to be found and claimed by faith in every one of God's attributes. You can learn more and more of your God by turning to His Word, where He so faithfully shows and gives Himself to us. The Scriptures beckon us to open its pages and take the next step in a lifetime adventure of uncovering the greatness of our God.
To the end that you may better know your great God, I challenge each of you to commit yourself to faithful personal devotions and Bible study and regular church and Bible Class attendance here at Trinity. Won't you join me in opening God's Word and uncovering "the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God?"
Your fellow-theologian, Pastor Bode

President’s Equip Conference
"Reforming Living Stones"
September 28-30, 2017
Sawgrass Marriott, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida
The President’s Equip Conference is an extraordinary event provided by the Florida-Georgia District, designed in every detail to advance the mission of the Lutheran Church and School. Cele-brating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and equipping a leadership community for re-forming the advancement of the gospel into the next century.
This Conference is designed to increase knowledge, skill, and deepen spiritual development of all church leaders, professionals and volunteers, provide the information, strategies, best practices, resources and solutions needed to effectively engage in ministry and build our local congregation and strengthen our local ministry. The President’s Equip Conference is a training event for all church leaders; Board and Church Council Members, Elders, Office Administrators, Part-time staff, volun-teers, serving in all capacities, Early Childhood Center staff, Pastors, Music Ministers, and VBS and Sunday School teachers.
Just imagine an opportunity to gather with our key leadership for an extended weekend for the building up of our spiritual house and connecting to many others who are the living stones that make up Christ’s Church. Come, and “Let yourself be built into a spiritual house of living stones.” (1 Pe-ter 2:5)
