About Pre-and-Co-RequisitesCertain Berkeley City College courses have prerequisites or corequisites. Pre-and-corequi-sites are listed in italics below the course title. Courses with prerequisites, corequisites and recommended preparation are implemented in accordance with Title 5 regulations and Board Policy. For more information about pre-and-corequisites, consult a BCC counselor. Students who complete prerequisites outside the Peralta District must submit a copy of an unofficial transcript or grade report when they enroll.

How to Register For Berkeley City College's 2014 Summer Session

Monday, June 16 thru Thursday, July 24(Classes do not meet and the college is closed on Fridays during the summer. You may register at Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney or Merritt colleges for Sum-mer Session classes; you may also register on the Internet at www.berkeleycitycollege.edu or at www.peralta.edu). Please note that the colleges are closed Friday, Apr. 18; Friday, May 16; Monday, May 26; and Friday, July 4, 2014.

New, Former and High School Students Apply for Summer 2014You are a new student if you never have attended a Peralta college. You are a former student if you were enrolled before Fall 2013. New and former student enrollment begins Mon., May 5. High school student enrollment begins Mon., May 12.

Priority Enrollment For Continuing Students(Enrolled in Fall 2013 or Spring 2014)You will receive an appointment via e-mail. You may enroll online by appointment beginning Thur., Apr. 10.

Enrollment Fees**

The current California community college enrollment fee for students who have lived continuously in the state one or more years is $46 per unit. Out-of state-students pay $259 per unit (the cost includes the $46 per unit enrollment fee). International students pay $265 per unit, which includes the $46 per unit enrollment fee and a Capital Outlay Fee up to $144 per year; and an $15 summer Health Services Fee. All students pay a $2 Campus Center Use Fee. Call the college's Cashier's Office at (510) 981-2842 for details.

3. Decide What Classes to Take
