The Petersen Automotive Museum is dedicated to the exploration and presentation of the auto-mobile and its impact on American life and culture using Los Angeles as the prime example. En-compassing more than 300,000 square feet, its exhibits and lifelike dioramas feature more than 150 rare and classic cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Covering four floors, the facility features permanent exhibits on the first floor that trace the his-tory of the automobile. Visitors are invited to walk through, not by, exhibits and dioramas and experience settings of early Los Angeles where the world’s first shopping district was designed. The second floor presents five rotating galleries with state-of-the-art displays of racecars, classic cars, vintage motorcycles, concept cars, celebrity and movie cars, and auto design and technol-ogy. The May Family Discovery Center is located on the third floor. Designed to spark interest in science by way of the automobile, the 6,500 square-foot, interactive “hands-on” learning center teaches children basic scientific principles by explaining the fundamental functions of a car.

Write of Way, by Suesan Way

Canadian Geese

Natives of SoCal call this May Gray and June Gloom – And al-though I don’t like tempting fate (and we could always use some

rain) but really, how many miserable and unPorsche friendly days are there when you live in Southern California?

They are just not memorable – You can’t say something like "remember back in’83 we had sunshine for a solid 3 months and perfect temperatures" But when you live in other parts of the country you can definitely say something like "re-member that snow storm back in ’83?" And 8 people will say "was that the one with the power outage for four and half days and they had to call in the National Guard?" But here you just cannot say that kind of thing because it is a perfect climate. It is a place made for the driving the automobile, virtually every day. And if you have a fine little sports car, there are Porsche roads and adventures just waiting for you.

Today I got a call from a club member who said “ I am call-ing about the DE (Driver’s Education) coming up at the end of June. I want to do that. What would I need to do?” That was it – he has heard about this kind of event and he has a Porsche and he wants to learn something new with his car. In thinking about this, I wonder how many other mem-bers we have that have no idea about what a DE is but have a little more than a little interest. I dug this out of the Zone8.org website:

The goal of the PCA’s Driver's Education Program is to provide a safe and structured learning environment where participants can improve their driving abilities and acquire a better understanding of their vehicle dynam-ics and driving safety. Participants experience first-hand the capabilities of their high performance automobiles in a controlled environment and acquire skills that will enhance safer vehicle operation in all driving situations. These events are safest way to learn the engineering dynamics that went into the development of this famous racing marque.

If that sounds kind of interesting to you, please consider our DE weekend coming up June 30 & July 1st at the Fairplex in Pomona. Grand Prix Region will again be partnering with San Gabriel Valley as we offer a “Something for Everyone” weekend at the track.

On Saturday, we have 2 separate things going on for more advanced drivers in the DE world. There is a PCA Drivers

Education Instructor Training which is for instructors who are looking for additional training AND for people who have been driving for a while and would like to know what it would be like to instruct.

This is an all day class with on-track exercises. It will be taught by Scott Mann, who has done this program with us before. Just to come and interact and participate for a day with Scott is a day well spent. He is an exceptional com-municator and makes the whole experience great. Lunch is included in the price of registration.

For Instructors who have completed the PCA DE Instruc-tor Training, we have a day for you on the track. If you have completed the PCA training, then this day is for you and it includes lunch too. Come out and hone your driving skills and enjoy a day with other instructors for a very low price.

On Sunday July 1st we have a DE and, for the more ad-vanced drivers, a Time Trial. This is an entry level event and will give everyone from novices to experienced drivers an op-portunity to enjoy a day on the track on hopefully a beauti-ful summer day in SoCal.

Registrations for all events are at pcagpx.motorsportreg.com. Any questions please let me know (including help with online registration) [email protected].

We are again thrilled to be sponsored by Porsche of Down-town LA for this weekend's events. You can visit them online at http://www.porschedowntownla.com/index.htm.

On the Cover...The Long Beach Grand Prix had a little rain this year, and Stephen Krupnick captured this beautiful shot of a Flying Lizard car.

June 2012

I have very few complaints about living in San Diego, but I often find myself sorry that we are so far away from events in the Los Angeles basin. OK, 90 minutes with good traffic isn't awful (we won't talk about bad traffic), but there are a lot of club events we just don't get to because we're starting out so far away.

Thanks to John Baskett, Suesan and I did not miss a very nice exhibit at the LA County Art Museum a week ago. We were fortunate enough to end up in a mid-century modern home, and there was an excellent exhibit of art and archi-tecture from this style at LACMA and John, knowing our appreciation for this stuff, invited us up. Thanks John...

Of course, we were up for our Breakfast Club meeting the next day, attended a dinner at the Boy's Republic Friday night preceeding the Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show the next day. In its fifth year, this show has really taken off. The feature this year is the Bullitt car, from the movie. They had the original Dodge Charger from the movie, complete with trench coat, sawed off shotgun, shells and leather gloves. There was also a tremendous turnout of Bullitt Mus-tangs (there are some pretty passionate Steve McQueen folks out there). We'll cover the show in the July Circuit. Many thanks to the Boys Republic, Ron Harris and the Porsche 356 Club, Peter Dunkel and everyone else who helps make this event such a success. Our own Michael Dolphin and Ar-turo Chaparo spent all day Friday working making trophies and working on other logistics. If you don't know anything about Boy's Republic, please check out their website.

Suesan and I will be in LA again next weekend for a couple of events, including our tour of the Petersen Museum. I haven't been there in decades. It has been on my list for years to set up a tour there, and it is finally happening. We're also hoping to be able to set up a basement tour soon. If anyone can help us do that, please contact me.

Another tour we did a few years ago and would absolutely LOVE to do again was Jay Leno's garages. If anyone out there can help with that, please contact me. After touring his garage a few years ago, I commented that, if you removed everything out on the floor and left only what was on the walls, I would have walked out feeling I had just been to one

of the best car museums I had ever seen... It was that good.

We will be back again June 30/July 1 for a 2-day Perfor-mance Driving event at the Pomona Fairplex. You can see the ads on pages 4 & 5. Saturday has two events for instruc-tors and instructor candidates, while Sunday is a Drivers Ed/Time Trial. Sunday is an entry level event, so if you've never done anything like this and think you'd like to check it out, let us know. You will be assigned an instructor and will be required to attend a Ground School Saturday afternoon. Again, if you have questions about any of these, please con-tact myself or our president, Suesan Way.

While the Lakers and Clippers got our adrelalin going for a bit, the Dodgers and Kings are keeping us smiling. Con-gratulations to the Clippers for getting into the playoffs. It's tough being a Laker fan, because anything short of a title is, well, just not what you want to see.

Anyway, there are lots of things going on. Come on out and join in. The weather is great, Summer is around the corner and we hope to see you.

Santa Monica Mountains to the Camarillo Airport Tourby Bruce Lee Caukinphotos by David Moard, Marty & Brita Goldsmith

On April 28 a very large group (25 cars) met near the Getty Museum in Mailbu. Captain Marty took us on a scenic tour through the Santa Monica Mountains with our final destination the colorful Camarillo Airport. It was a very fine day weather wise, and the Santa Monica Mountains always offer great roads and beautiful scenery. The tough part is deciding which roads you want to drive. There are just so many good choices. You can wind your way through the mountains, hit the coast for a stretch, then head back into the mountains on another road. You come across some amazing ranches, homes and other things (like the famous Rock Store). It is certainly a pleasant way to spend a Saturday.

On the way to Camarillo the group stopped to see some of what's left of the old Paramount Ranch race track. Tour leader Marty Goldsmith had been an active member of the Cal Club back then and actually officiated at these events. The track was only used for about a year in the 1950s, and was probably closed because of the number of fatal accidents that occurred.

Camarillo Airport is your typical wonderful smaller airport. It has a well managed, not fancy but good food-for-the-money restaurant. The wait staff is friendly and efficient, There are lots of old photos and other memorabilia that GPX member (and professional pilot) Steve Marino provided background for. The restaurant faces the runway, so the view was constantly changing.

One of the very fun opportunities after lunch was walking out and around the hangers. There is always a nice variety of planes and projects and people working, and they are almost always happy to talk to you about what they're doing.

After lunch Steve Marino and I went over to an old B-52 landing strip where the Santa Barbara Region was conducting an autocross. There was a variety of Porsches, but also Ford Mustangs and other American muscle cars. I ran into a SBR friend driving the autocross. As a Cayman S owner, I was delighted at the Colonel describing the Ruff Cayman that he bought in Germany. With a supercharger and other modifications, the car produces 400 hp. At this point, you wonder if the 911 of the future should be mid-engine!

We really enjoy these tours and I understand that we will have a few more on the club calendar this year. They are easy and fun and don't take a lot of preparation. For us drivers, we pretty much you show up with a tank full of gas and enjoy a drive somewhere fun and interesting.

If you have any ideas about places you'd like to see us go, please contact our region president, Suesan Way at (619) 992-4287 or [email protected]. It doesn't have to just be good driving roads. It doesn't have to be car related either. The main criteria is something that people will enjoy and, preferably, a nice drive to get there. Already this year we've been to the Nethercutt museum, Angeles Crest Highway, toured Dunkel Brothers, and are going to the Petersen Museum next week. Southern California is full of interesting and/or historic places.

The 918 Spyder will go into production at the end of Sep-tember 2013 as planned, with first customers receiving their vehicles before 2013 is out.

The prototypes, their camouflage harking back to historical Porsche 917 racing cars, signal the final touches to the 918 Spyder. The focus is on the interplay between the highly sophisticated individual drive components. The combination of combustion engine and two independent electric motors – one on the front axle and one in the drive line, acting on the rear wheels – poses completely new demands on the develop-ment of the operating strategies.

The super sports car is designed as a plug-in hybrid vehicle combining a high-performance combustion engine with cutting-edge electric motors for extraordinary performance: on the one hand, the dynamics of a racing machine boast-ing more than 770 hp, on the other hand, fuel consumption in the region of three litres per 100 kilometres. Moreover, Porsche is breaking yet more new ground with the technol-ogy demonstrator with spectacular solutions such as the full carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) monocoque with unit carrier, fully adaptive aerodynamics, adaptive rear-axle steering and the upward-venting “top pipes” exhaust system. In the process, the 918 Spyder is offering a glimpse of what Porsche Intelligent Performance may be capable of in future.

The Porsche 918 Spyder is on the road: the initial prototypes are comlete.

Good Guys Hot Rod Show at the Del Mar Fairgroundsby Skip Carter

There are countless car things to do in Southern California, one of which was the Good Guys Hot Rod Show we at-tended at the fairgrounds in Del Mar. These photos are a small sample of what we saw. It's hard to say whether the cars on display were better than the cars in the parking lot. Honestly, it was a toss-up.

Oh yeah, then there was the row of vintage AA Fuel dragsters that they fired up one at a time!!! Go to our region webiste to see some video: www.GrandPrixRegion.com.

On Saturday May 12th, ten Porsches met at the Sports Chalet in La Canada/Flintridge. Marty Goldsmith held a short drivers meeting where he described the route to be taken and some safety rules. We departed at 8:45 for the run over the Angeles Crest Highway.

Our first stop was at Red Box, which is at a Ranger Station with a large parking lot with a great view. Marty explained why the area is described as a saddle and the natural water drainage to the ocean. Unfortunately Bruce Jephcott's Boxster decided to take a leak in the parking lot, so he was forced to drop out and had to call for a tow truck back to Long Beach (the rest of us took a leak in the outhouse).

We left Red Box headed for Newcomb's Ranch Res-taurant. We arrived at 9:30am amidst what seemed like hundreds of motorcycles. Newcomb's is a very nice, homey place in the forest. They served a very nice breakfast, after which we walked around, looked at the bikes and the scenery.

Marty held another short meeting for the final 33 mile run to the finish at Wrightwood. There were only a few cars on the road so we were able to maintain the posted speed limits. The few cars we encountered were polite and pulled over to let us pass. There were a large num-ber of bicycles on the road, so we had to be careful and give them lots of room.

In summary, a beautiful ride was had by all.

Long Beach Grand Prixby Skip carterphotos by Stephen Krupnick, Jimmie Mitchell & John Reilly

The Grand Prix Region of the Porsche Club of America has an obvi-ous connection with the Long Beach Grand Prix. Our founders cre-ated this region specifically because of this event. As for the City of Long Beach, the GP is the largest event in the city, with attendance regularly exceeding 200,000.

The Long Beach Grand Prix is the longest running major "street" race held on the North American continent. It started in 1975 as a Formula 5000 race on the streets of downtown, and became a Formula One event the following year. From 1984 to 2008 it was a CART Indycar/Champ Car event. Other popular events during the Grand Prix week include a Firestone Indy Lights race, an American Le Mans Series race, and the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race.

This year Australian Will Power held off a charging Simon Pagenaud to win the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach on Sunday, Power's second consecutive win in the Izod IndyCar Series. Pagenaud finished second, James Hinchcliffe was third and Tony Kanaan took fourth. With five laps left in the 85-lap race, Power was about five seconds ahead of Pagenaud. But Power was running low on fuel, and as he slowed slightly in the final laps to conserve fuel Pagenaud slashed his lead to less than one second.

For the American Le Mans Series race, fuel strategy won out with Klaus Graf and Lucas Luhr winning the Tequila Patrón for the second straight season. The Muscle Milk Honda Performance Development ARX-03a stopped twice during the race’s sole caution period and ran the final 56 minutes without another stop to win over Dyson Racing. The Muscle Milk car lost the lead on its first pit stop when it had fueling issues – harkening back to its disastrous closing moments at Se-bring. It turned out to be a blessing as the quick splash ensured the car could get to the end without refueling.

In the GT class, Tommy Milner and Oliver Gavin gave Corvette Racing its first victory at Long Beach since 2009 and its first in ALMS since Mosport in July with an 8-second victory over BMW Team RLL’s Joey Hand and Dirk Mueller. Gavin’s strong open to his stint moved him ahead of Mueller with 46 minutes remaining.

Level 5 Motorsports’ Christophe Bouchut took the P2 lead with six minutes left as race-leader Martin Plowman had to pit late. Bou-chut and Scott Tucker won in class at Long Beach for the second straight year, this time in a HPD ARX-03b. CORE autosport won its second race of the season and consecutively at Long Beach with Alex Popow and Ryan Dalziel victorious in Prototype Challenge. The CORE entry was 19 seconds quicker on its lone pit stop than runner-up Muscle Milk Pickett Racing.

In GT Challenge, Green Hornet Racing’s Damien Faulkner drove a strong second stint in a hard-fought battle with Leh Keen as he and Peter LeSaffre won in class over Alex Job Racing. Faulkner finished 3.107 seconds ahead of Keen following a tense series of laps following the race restart. Both drivers took turns posting the fastest race lap for the class until Faulkner gained the upper hand with less than 20 minutes to go.

May 5 Breakfast Club Meeting at Friscosby Skip carterphotos by Jimmie Mitchell

About 75 Porschephiles, including several first timers, showed up for our monthly Breakfast Club at Frisco's Cruise-in Diner in Long Beach. As usual, the food was good and plentiful, the cars were good and plentiful, and the people were... Well, good and plentiful?

Seriously though, I was only able to stay for about a half hour before heading over to get ready for our Open House at Dunkel Brothers in La Mirada (which we'll cover in the July Circuit). We want to thank our friends at Circle Porsche for sending over a new 991 Cabriolet for us to oogle over, not to mention sit in and watch them demon-strate the newest 911 features.

Thanks to Jimmie Mitchell, we've got some nice photos from breakfast. If you don't see yourself here, check out Jimmie's photo gallery on the GPX website: www.Grand-PrixRegion.com.

by Bruce Herrington, Orange Coast RegionBook Reviews for PorschephilesTouch Woodby Duncan Hamilton, published in 1960 by Barrie and Rockliff, London, England

Bruce Herrington

Duncan Hamilton was one of those internationally re-nowned race car drivers of an ilk unknown today - arche-typical of an era when racing was basically for fun, not for business. Thus, reading the story of his racing life is fun too. But Touch Wood is more than a report of races, it is the very well written autobiography of a real character, who happened to like to race Formula 1 sports cars. As Lord Howe says in the foreword "Duncan was the last of a band of enthusiasts...unashamedly amateur in their approach to the sport. In the first place they owned the cars they raced and.. the race was only the focusing point of the day’s [and night's] activities...friends to meet, technical information to exchange, stories to tell and most certainly a party to be enjoyed.”

Despite his significant successes (he won the 1953 Le Mans race in a Jaguar C-type, took second in '54, and won the 1956 Rheims 12-hour in a D-Type), his devil-may-care attitude comes through in this book, mak-ing it the only motor racing biography this reviewer has read that has made him, time and again, burst out laughing! The hilarity is not just a function of the circumstances in which Duncan found/got himself, but also of the outstanding writing by which the stories are vividly presented.

Duncan Hamilton started his career in high speed vehicles at the age of two, when he found that by reaching out and moving the wheels of his pram, he could propel himself across the yard. Unfortunately the yard in question fell away to a flight of steps, down which Duncan and pram somer-saulted, much to the consternation of the nurse assigned to watch (as distinct from spectate) Duncan’s activities. Need-less to say, his misadventures with wheeled vehicles got more complex as he grew older. Actually, the adventures didn’t all involve wheeled vehicles, some were plane crashes he walked away from, a suitcase full of ducks that got opened in a res-taurant dining room, a statue of Queen Victoria with rouge and lipstick in an other driver’s bed, a totally out of control attempt at skiing, and an incident with a fire hose that may well have presaged a Three Stooges routine, etc.

Despite some rather sophomoric behavior, Duncan Hamil-ton was successful on the race track, mostly in his own cars,

driving races against such as Ascari, Fangio, Gonzales, Moss, Salvadori, etc., and often beating these better known drivers of the past. There are many race reports, and fascinat-ing ‛travelogues to Spain and East Africa, areas where sports car racing is no longer prevalent.

Duncan was always a firm believer that a sports car had to be drivable, and driven, on public roads if it was to be worthy of racing on tracks. To that end he drove to and from major GP races, even picked up a D-Jag at the factory, and drove it home through three inches of snow. The fact that he owned and operated his own team provided stories with a mechanical orientation as well as excuses for visiting various venues for late night partying. His preparations for the '53 LeMans race are a prescription for losing, yet incredibly, he and his partner in shenanigans Tony Rolt, achieved Jaguar’s first outright win.

Touch Wood is about the life of Duncan Hamilton and roughly one quarter of the

book deals with his adventures with airplanes both before and during WWII, where he served as an officer with engineering, test flying and staff duties, and ultimately rated a Spitfire for personal use. It is a very entertaining read, even for people who are not sports-racing enthusiasts. The stories told can seem to be fantasies for people who only know the modern, corporate approach to motor racing as a business. It is truly a story of "the good ol’ days."

Touch Wood, the title, refers to a ritual of good luck. Dun-can Hamilton had rather incredible good luck, racing and crashing, in an era when seat belts and hard helmets were unknown. Touch Wood, the book, is good luck to those who can obtain a copy to read. It consists of 230, 5.25x8.5 inch pages, with 57 Black & White pictures. As a complement to the quality of this book, paperback reprints from 1991 (illustrated) cost as much as $80 used on Amazon Books at http://www.amazon.com/Touch-Wood-Duncan-Hamilton.

Tech Notes from Tony Callas & Tom Prine(courtesy of Callas Rennsport) Excessive Fuel Consumption and Poor Overall Performance

Tony

Cal

las

Recently we had a 996 Coupe in the shop. The customer’s concern was that the fuel consumption appeared excessive and the engine seemed to be less responsive than normal. We ran a complete controller interrogation, meaning we scanned all the control modules (computers) in the car for faults with the PIWIS (Porsche Integrated Workshop Information System) scan tool. Primarily we were searching for faults or fault codes in the DME (Digital Motor Electronics) control-ler AKA the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) — there were no faults present. At this point most technicians would con-clude that since there are no faults present, there must not be a problem. However, this is not always the case.

Through experience we know that the customer is usually very familiar with the operat-ing characteristics of their car. With this in mind we continued our diagnosis. We performed a test on the pre-catalyst (before the catalytic converters) oxygen sensors utilizing a DSO (Digital Stor-age Oscilloscope) to visually inspect the electrical signals coming from the oxygen sensors. Oxygen sensors do ex-actly what their name describes— they sense oxygen in the exhaust stream. When there is an excess of oxygen in the exhaust, the engine is running lean (too little fuel). Likewise, if there is a lack of oxygen in the exhaust, there is a rich run-ning condition (too much fuel).

Normally, when a lean running signal is sent from the oxygen sensors to the DME, the DME then richens the fuel mixture via a wider injector pulse width (keeping the fuel injectors open longer). The mixture eventually gets too rich, the oxy-gen sensors identify this change and adjusts the signal sent to the DME, the DME in turn leans the fuel mixture again. This cycle repeats over and over in a process called closed loop operation. It should be noted that closed loop operation doesn’t occur immediately after cold engine start, the oxygen sensors must first reach at least 600°F to operate properly, if they are not faulty.

As oxygen sensors age, they deteriorate and are considered lazy, their reaction time slows down. As they switch from rich to lean or lean to rich, this process begins to take too long. SAE (Society of Au-tomotive Engineers), the organization that helped develop OBD-II (On Board Diagnostics-II), determined that the

threshold for an oxygen sensor to switch from one extreme to the other should not take longer than 100ms (1 tenth of a second). The only way to accurately mea-sure this is with a meter that not only measures voltage but also time. This is why we utilize a DSO for this test procedure.

The technician performed a test, where they induced pro-pane to create a rich mixture and then quickly generated a vacuum leak to monitor the oxygen sensors switch-ing speed from rich to lean.

This data indicates that these O2 sensors are on the verge of setting a check engine light. The top of the screen represents a rich mixture and the bottom of the screen a lean mixture. The far left to far right borders represent one second total in time. Look at the timeline, these two oxygen sensors are exceeding the 100ms switching time from rich to lean.

Oxygen sensors are a wear component and should be checked even if there are no computer fault codes or Check Engine Light. It’s good practice to replace modern oxygen sensors at least every 100k. Other than operating time and or mileage causing an O2 sensor to wear out, other enemies are Oil, Coolant and Silicone contamination.

In our client’s case, the oxygen sensors had aged and were responding in closed loop operation much too slowly (lazy). When the O2 sensors were replaced, the system returned to normal fuel consumption and engine response.

DSO screenshot of the two pre-catalyst O2 sensors

The 2012 Parade is only one month away now, and it promises to be another great one. All Porsche, all the time, for a solid week; our national convention can’t be beat when it comes to PCA camaraderie and activities. There is still time to sign up and make it the best week of your summer. Salt Lake City is a great destination city and is very family friendly. There will be lots to see and do for the whole fam-ily. See http://parade2012.pca.org/ for more information.

Party! Party! Party! There will be a Zone 8 Party at the Parade on opening day, Sunday, July 8. The party starts at 4 PM as a warm up to the official Welcome Party that evening. It is the perfect time to gather with your Zone 8 friends to coordinate schedules, plan activities and organize your vaca-tion week together. Don’t arrive too late so you can be sure to be finished with both hotel and Parade check-in leaving plenty of time to join us and kick the week off in style.

Concours Judges: If you have never judged at a Parade, but are interested in stepping up and giving it a try, please contact Paul Gilbreath, the Parade Head Judge, at: [email protected] Turning to official Zone 8 business, June is the final month to submit proposals for the Zone 8 event rules for 2013. If you have a suggestion to make the rules better, or have iden-tified a problem with the rules as they are now, here is your big chance to make a difference. Submit suggestions, along with a description of the issue (why it is an issue and how your suggestion fixes it) to [email protected]. You may also review and submit comments on other member’s suggestions. Please see the rules proposal page on http://Zone8.PCA.org to learn more about the rules process and to see the propos-als for next year that have already been submitted.

Have you been wondering what is going on around you in Zone 8? Perhaps PCA doesn’t have your email address. Many regions, the zone and national PCA email out notifications about upcoming events and other club news to the email ad-dress that you provide to national PCA. If you haven’t done so, or if your email address has changed and you have yet to update it with PCA national, then you will miss out on this convenient & timely means of communication. Fixing it is easy, just log in to your account on http://www.pca.org/ and update your information. If you don’t have an account, the friendly staff at our national office will be glad to assist you in creating one.

Don’t forget, of course, to make a habit of visiting your local region web

site and the Zone 8 website on a regular basis as these are also great ways to keep up with what is going on.

Our Facebook and Google+ pages are also great ways to stay in contact with the club. If you find yourself traveling to another region look them up and drop in on any events that might be happening. Visitors from other regions are welcome to attend most any event. Just be sure to look for any ad-vance registration requirements and pricing information, etc. While you are on the Zone 8 web site, please take a look in the About Zone 8 section. Here you will find the Zone 8 History Project unfolding, as well as other information about Zone 8 and its regions. We certainly hope you enjoy it. And don’t forget, if you have anything you’d like to contribute, I’ll be glad to take a look.

Do keep sending me your favorite drives around the zone. We are a car club after all, and everybody appreciates a sug-gestion for a great place to hit the road in their Porsche. I can be contacted at [email protected]
