A Message from Grace

Thanks to all who joined our annual meeting in May. We appreciate your interest in Founders Hall. Several members

BOOKS OF SUMMERFriday, June 10, 2 pm

Ridgefield Library’s Mary Rindfleisch and Dorothy Pawlowski will share the hottest books

for summer.

Travelogue

EASTER ISLANDFriday, June 17, 1 pm

Founders Hall instructor and inveterate traveler Toni McKeen will show you the wonders of Easter Island, located 2,300 off the coast of Chile. Highlights include the colossal moai statues, fascinating caves and extraordinary beaches. She’ll discuss the mysterious lost culture and share tales from her recent adventures there with 14 Founders Hall members.

JAMES ONALFOStopping Crime in real time, Thursday, June 23, 3pm

During his 11 years as Deputy Commissioner and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the New York Police Department, James Onalfo overhauled NYPD infrastructures and created the most advanced data center and technological policing agency in the world. He and his team developed technology to catch criminals, fend off cyber attacks and support anti-terrorism activities. He now advises city and government agencies world-wide on cyber security, data-protection, facial recognition and voice data-mining. Before joining the NYPD, Onalfo was CIO at Kraft Foods International. He also has a soccer field in Ridgefield named after him.

DEVELOPMENT

Anyone who thinks that they are too small to make a difference has never tried to fall asleep with a

mosquito in the room.

~ Christine Todd Whitman

On June 30, we will be halfway through our fiscal year. But when it comes to member participation, we’re not quite halfway there. If you’re among the 40% of active members who have already given, thank you. Your generosity is funding the programs described in this newsletter as well as the many classes offered here.

If you are among the 60% who have not yet given, please consider making a donation today. Your donation of any size will help fill the funding gap between what you pay for classes and what it actually costs to provide them.

Thank you for supporting Founders Hall.

Halfway There (Almost!) founderS CirCleIf you can’t afford to donate now, why not consider leaving a bequest to Founders Hall in your will? A legacy gift costs you nothing now, will proclaim your values, inspire others, and impact lives for years to come.
