June 11-15, 2018 marked our 8th annual Walking Pilgrimage. This year we walked to the Oconto harbor, boarded a sail

boat, and sailed to Sturgeon Bay. We continued our journey on the other side of the peninsula. We sailed maybe 30 miles and walked 46 miles. A total of 9 people walked all week, with an additional 13 walking part of the week. A big thank you to our hosts: Fr. Carl Schmitt and his parishes of Corpus Christi in Sturgeon Bay and Holy Name of Mary in Maplewood, Fr. Peter and St. Mary’s in Algoma, and Fr. Milt Seis, Sr. Mary Ann, and Holy Trinity Parish in Casco. They were generous

and hospitable to all the pilgrims. The walking pilgrimage always reminds me of the importance of community, of

walking together with one another, and that we are all responsible to build and nurture a healthy faith community. It also reminds me that the simple things are the most important. It’s easy to forget that walking with Jesus, and walking with each other, is what really matters. It was a great journey together. And we’re still unpack-ing what it all means. Keep walking, as we say on the pilgrimage. I’m already looking up routes

for 2019. ¡Buen Camino! --Fr. Joel

LIVE THE LITURGY - INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK

As we celebrate today's feast, we are reminded that God creates and fashions each one of us with intent and purpose. We are not random accidents. We are special creations and wonderfully made. Each of us brings a unique twist to the one shot at life that we are given. As people of faith and children of God, we are asked to use our specialness to announce God's kingdom. Each of us reveals a unique part of God's face. Each day presents opportunities to communicate our faith to others and to reveal God's mercy. We have the means to point the way to Christ. How can we show Jesus to others today?

Thank you for your support to Rainbow House Domestic Abuse Services. Your contribution helps put an end to the cycle of violence in our community. In recognition of all donors from

St. Anthony & St. Patrick Parish, the Rainbow House’s board has offered our parishes a print created by a local artist. This year’s piece is a limited addition work by artist Ginnie Cappaert. The color purple is meant to be a symbol of peace, courage, survival, honor and dedication of ending violence. The artwork can be seen in the back of St. Anthony Church and will be transfer to St. Patrick for the weekend of July 14.

· Soil testing will be done at the main entrance to determine the appropriate footings for that area. · Concrete for the footings and foundation walls should be completed this week, weather permitting. · Flooring options were discussed for the dining area. It was decided to install luxury vinyl tile which will replace the old

gym floor. Carpet color changes were made for the confessional and sacristy rooms to match the other carpet areas. · The new pews will have an upholstered seat, solid wood back, and red oak pew ends with a Trinity design.

Auction Chairperson Needed

Have you attended the parish auction in the past? Then you know it takes many people to run such a fun event. We need your help!! The parish is actively seeking a group of chairpersons to run the parish auction. This is a major fundraiser! If you are interested, please call the parish office.

Bread By the Bay Food Pantry

It would be very charitable if each parishioner attending church could donate at least one can of food each month for the food pantry. You can leave the canned goods in the barrels located at each entrance of church. Thank you for your continued support.

Mass Intentions

We have a few dates in August open for Mass Intentions. Please call the parish office to schedule a Mass. Anyone who is having a Mass intention said for a loved one is encouraged to have family members bring up the gifts.
