A Word from the Pastor
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, do not hinder them.” Matthew 19:14.
Two Sundays ago our congregation witnessed first hand the generosity of the faithful servants of Pilmoor Memorial UMC. Emily Forehand gave a wonderful and exciting mission moment about the influence of the church’s pre-school program. Emily and Ryan Forehand have three children. The twins, Emmett and Georgia have attended the two year class and have completed their first year.
Emily is a teacher in Currituck County and her message reminded us of the reputation the “Pilmoor Kids” have, referring to how well prepared the children that have attended our program seem to be as they enter school. She also reminded us of the love and care and Christian teaching she has observed in her children from attending worship and children’s church. When she hears Emmett and Georgia singing “Standing on the Promises” it reminds her of how the generosity of our members continues to plant seeds of God’s love not only in our children but in our adults and community as well. Thank you Emily!
