JUNGIAN ENCOUNTER WITH THE MYSTIC SOUL OF INDIA FEBRUARY 11-24, 2018 With Guest Lecturer - Ashok Bedi M.D. Join us with a triple decker encounter with the Soul of India. The Pre-study group February 11 - 14 is an introduction to the ancient Buddhist rock caves of Ajanta and Ellora, dating back to 200BC Our main journey from February 14 - 24 takes us first to the vibrant, cultural hub of India’s Jewel on the Arabian sea - Mumbai, the home of Bollywood, the heart- throb of billions, on to encounter exotic desert kingdoms of Rajasthan, the home to the Rajput warriors and Sufi poets that define the Mythos of India. This part of the trip will include participation in the Sufi Music Festival in Jodhpur The post-tour from February 24 - 26 will explore the Eros of human civilization in the visit to Taj Mahal Ashok Bedi, M.D. is a Jungian psychoanalyst and a board-certified psychiatrist. A Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, he is a Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and a training analyst at the Carl G. Jung Institute of Chicago. He is the liaison for the IAAP for developing Jungian training programs in India.He leads the annual “A Jungian Encounter with the Soul of India” study group to several centers in India under the auspices of the New York Jung Foundation. His publications and up- coming programs may be previewed at www.pathtothesoul.com This program is being co-sponsored by the C.G. Jung Institute of Chicago and the New York C.G. Jung Foundation for Analytical Psychology. The C.G. Jung In- stitute of Chicago is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education credits for psychologists, and maintains responsi- bility for this program and its content. It is approved by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation to provide continuing education (CE) credit for social workers, professional counselors and marriage and family therapists and main- tains responsibility for educational aspects of the program and its content. Three CEs are offered for the pre-study trip to Ellora & Ajanta Caves, twelve CEs for the 10 days of instruction on the main journey, and none for the Agra trip. The jour- ney is tax-deductible to the extent of the law. Please note that the size of the group will be limited.
